Who's running Slicks, What where is a good place to get them!

Hi,

Im looking at changing from semi's to full slicks.

Currently I am running 255 Federal 201's and looking for something more sticky.

I have 17" 8J and 9J wheels.

What would you guys recommend, Looking for something stickier than the Semi's but also with a good life span!

Iv gt 8 used slicks some are better than others 17 inch open to offers as i dont no what there worth cheers

or more sticky semi's?

are semi's really any more sticky vs better compounds & why run semi's in first place? I went full slicks from start on My avenger

A lot of events don't allow slicks. That's one good reason.

I run Toyo R888's. Once they're hot and you've got a good suspension setup dialed in, dear lord do they stick!

Im currently running 255 Federal 201 slicks. But I'm not overly impressed!

Tony has hooked me up with some new Hankook 235 slicks! So I'm excited to give these a go! These will be used purely track racing, Probably a few more laps than most semis could handle.

I have been using Nitto NT01 semis this year and one set lasts a whole 6 hour endurance race for us. But then in endurance racing you aren't wanting the softest tyres. I would rate them as slightly better than R888 and definitely better for grip than the Federals, but not massively so (I have however only run the medium compound Federals in 215/45/17).

Slicks will have more grip however, so I hope your oil system is upto the job!
