Single or Dual Catch Can

So i've researched the reasons why people go for dual catch cans and see the logic behind it but how many of you out there are actually doing it?

Is there a fair share just running single ones?

If running single have you joined the crankcase and head lines together to feed the catch can or only filtering one of the two breather lines?

If you join the breathers together, you're effectively halving the breathing... room?

I've seen plenty of people give grief on RFB setups where both breathers tee together to a single inlet on a catch can

No idea if there's any substance behind that mind you

Assume you're meaning the setup with the secondary head ports that drain the oil back down? And only goes into the catch can if it overfills the top tank? Was reading up on that one last night on DOBC, cool setup, would be good for a track setup but pretty far past the needs of most.

Turns out researching catch cans is a prick of a thing to do, every man and his dog has a differing opinion on the matter

Do you literally have Tony's old setup then Viv? I wondered if something like that could be done in place of a flipped alternator (when keeping the top mount).

Nah just Tony was really helpful with telling me how he did it, so I used his advice to build mine. It's reasonably similar, but I only have single port heads, so only run one line from either side.

And yes Andy_Mac, you only need a catch can on a car that's being raced. No reason for it on a road car that I can tell. And if you do need it on the road, you probably have either an engine problem or need to slow the f*ck down!

I have mine setup as below with PCV valve still plumbed in etc.

Seen many ditch and blank the PCV plug and run a single can.

The above setup works well. including the PCV and keeping the factory breather recirc flow but cans to collect gunk appears to promote better breathing but at the end of the day most setups if configured correctly are going to be fine imo.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
