1997 WRX RA? (STI?)

I have a 97 RA which I've been told many things about from a number of people. It seems to have many of the RA features.

- Wind up windows

- IC Waterspray

- Black door handles and mirrors

- No aircon

But not completely sure, also what version it is, and if it is an STI or not? Have been told that it is an STI RA and that it is a version 3... But I cant find anything on the net to verify what it is exactly.

Any help on exactly what it might be is welcome! Thanks

What model code does it have on the FHI plate riveted to the passenger side strut tower? Better yet, post a picture of the FHI plate.

Go and see if the tag on the strut tower has Gc8d47d written on it . Thats version 3 ra

Gc8d4dd or Gc8d44d cant rember which one is v3 sti ra

GC8D4DD is V3 STI RA. Easy to say if its a WRX RA or STI RA.

STI RA has DCCD (adjustable center diff) which is operated by a rolling button and indicated by a dial on the dashboard. STI RA's also have a roof vent (WRX RA's don't).

A photo would clear it up.

Thanks guys! It is a Version 3 RA it seems Tag was GC8D47D. Has a lot of mods so could be the reason why people thought it was an STI!

you need that V5 grill to match that bumper or go back to v3/4 bumper so it all matches

I reckon V3/4s should have the V5/6 grille regardless of which style bumper cover.
