Outbacks should be either lowered or lifted.

Saul (@subygl) who owns the lifted one above has the best of both worlds...

Errr still unsure about that, its turning into a busy week but might make it down for just the Sunday track day.

Would be great if you can do it, I'm curious about how your wide tyres compare to light weight/small wheels on the track :)

Plus it would be a lot more fun with at least 2 outbacks on the track!

My ideas change week to week on lift or drop.

Still thinking of doing both, nit at the same time, but have a set of lifted suspension and wheels and a set for lowered.

Not sure how practical it would be to raise and drop it on a semi regular basis

I've done a terrible thing, never have I taken a car on the beach, but we were out Karioitahi Beach yesterday and couldn't resist the urge to try the Wago out on the sand. Unreal combination, AWD 3L torque, so many helis, she romped through the soft stuff just fine if you kept the wheels spinning :x. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did, and now want to left it and make a off road version even more.. But she shall stay low for now. Not a chance id take it on the sand with the new coilovers, so i'm glad i got to thrash it on rooted suspension, the sand gets everywhere and is a nightmare on exposed parts like suspension

I've given it a good clean ready for the new coilovers to go in this week sometime.

Yeah the BPE is awesome on the sand. I went on 99mile beach (or whatever it's called) before lowering mine, worked like a charm :)

Any difficulties at your current height? I'm feeling less confident to bring mine on soft sand now that it's lowered.

I'm actually so disappointed I didn't get out and get a clip of the gf thrashing around haha. A couple of lads were out on their dirt bikes power sliding around so we got in formation and tagged along. was a riot

i'm not that low, but compared to Outback height its low i guess. I think a stock outback would be super impressive. mine was definitely dragging its belly around. the amount of sand I had to water blast out from under the car was horrific.

Wont be doing it again thats for sure, need to get a beach hack

Yup, the stock Outback 3.0R is doing better than 80% of the other vehicles on the beach thanks to AWD and the rear LSD

I went on the beach rather nervous, tow rope in boot just incase. That quickly faded and i was soon trashing about looking around in the hope of finding a stuck car to tow haha

Mmmmm... For future reference, do not run a soft compound tyre at -2.5° on daily duty for 1.5 years, you will undoubtedly shred the tyre down to the cords...

ps. anyone want to buy a pair of good condition RE003s? (225/45 R18) xD

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
