BE/BH electric seat conversion.

I say chaps and chappette's, does anyone know if it is at all possible to convert a BE/BH RS or GTB drivers seat from electric adjust to manual?

Had a quick look at it compared to the passengers seat, and its quite different underneath, mainly because of the tilt adjusty bits.

Did any 3rd Gen Leggy's come with a manual full adjust seat?

If not I might have to fabricate some brackety bits to remove all the electric gubbins, cos they weigh a ton!

Reason is I have acquired Mr B4 I was 250T's old seats for the track hack, until we can afford a roll cage and some race seats, and don't want/ need the electric adjusty bits.

Tbh, i'd stick in sti seats. They bolt up :-) significabtly lighter too

Long term plan is some proper race seats, until then need somewhere to park me bum!

Might take a trip out to Pick a Part and have a squizz at some seats.

yes - you can convert to manual, you'll need some donor seats. Any gen3 should do the trick, as you'll only be using the sliding and tilt mechanisms (not any of the bolstering). I'm not sure if there were simpler mechanisms - my outback had tilt on the back and seat, plus a bolster adjustment in the backrest. Electric had no bolster adjust.

I put GTB (leather/cloth) seats in the front of my outback. The electrics were dead (and they weigh a tonne..as you noted), so I merged the nice GTB seats onto my outback manual mechanism (drivers side only - passenger was not electric).

Its not too difficult, but maybe not too obvious at first glance.

For the seat part (where your bum goes) - swap over the cover and all the bolstering. The steel tub under the seat differs from manual to electric, so you need all the metal from the manual seat up to and including the tub.

For the back - the electric back simply unbolts at the pivot point, while the manual one is riveted on. I couldn't find an obvious way to remove the rivet (I think one end may have a circlip) - but if you pull up the backrest cover, you'll find there are two bolts on the driver's side pivot mechanism you can undo - then bolt that onto the manual mechanism.

Its pretty clear once you pull the covers and have a look at them.

This is good to know! Cheers!

Now to find a manual seat...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
