Paddle shift problem, NEED HELP!

Hi there team,

Im new to this forum have a 2007 Legacy STI, Auto / Trip.

Im having a problem when using the paddle shift. So what's happening is I can change from 1st to 2nd to 3rd it will then instantly change to 4th without me asking it too, then I change to 5th.

it's weird and have not been able to find any info on google.

Can someone help me shed some light on this its really annoying :confused:

Don't quote me .. but I don't think mine will bounce off rev limiter it will shift... if you floor it in 1st, it will go through the gears for you in (manual mode)

Sometimes, you may manually shift at the same time its shifting up, I have had that you go 1st to 2nd, go to hit 3rd but the revs are high enough the car changes, then you change and hit 4th - think in S# it will hold the gear alot more than S does

Mine bounces off limiter too and then I change gears fine.

"bug in the matrix" you mean fault with the ECU?

This could be happening will try and get a video of it in action, having a diagnostic test done on wed at Subaru. They think its odd and could be transmission solenoids.

What is the limiter set at in your guys cars ..after fitting headers to my 07 3.0 si legacy it revs hard to just over 7k ..sounds like a bloody F1 car :) ....I'm sure before hand it was just before 7k

to test then put it manual and slowly accelerate it will then rapidly go through the gear when its available (Up Arrow showing above PRND indicator)

What a pain in the arse it must be - I only drive mine in tiptronic using a mix of paddles and the gearknob

Yea its annoying, had a diagnostic test done nothing popped up but a whole lot of other stuff did such as trans needs flush, CV's apparently but no noise, bushes and A/C belt cracking.

Have it booked in to get this all done and then will think about some mods to increase power and torque. Iv never owned a turb so would not know where to start with basic mods. :rolleyes::confused:

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
