Bilsteins into a BC5

Its rainging and i wanted to do something mechanical so ive fitted the front right shock. No drop in height, so will definately needsome lowering springs.

Not yet, still have to get them fixed up when i go to Cambridge in October

The Bilsteins are quite a bit stiffer on the push test than what is in there though. Should be a flatter on the corners now. Was pretty good before I thought for standard so hopefully no knocks etc in the new ones.

Im just going to do the fronts and wait till ive got some springs to do the rears and fronts again. Gotta bleed the bloody brakes now

should have cut and bent the clip that holds the brake cable on ;D

lol it is safe, done it 2 my new shocks also, mechanic said its alot easier, which it is

Got the second shock in, heaps easier than the first for some reason, took me about ten minutes. Just waiting for the brother in law to come over and give a hand with the bleeding.

All in and working great. my earlier estimate of the height seems to be wrong, intead of four fingers with the old suspension im now at about 3. made quite a bit of difference to the front of the car and is now showing that the back ones need doing.

The top bushings floggong out???? can someone elaberate on this? I got my billy's rebuilt as they went all clunky on me, wasnt sure of the problem with them so just got them sent away lol, perhaps there was no need?

They go all clunky when the top bush flogs out, so don't stress!
