not experienced the wonder of zetums

:D

Not much wonder to be had.. I have them on my Impreza, pretty S*** wet grip (2 wet sessions around Hampton downs) acceptable in the dry but they give up if you're pushing hard, that said they are cheap.

Would rate my previous RE002s more, couldn't keep them as I went up a wheel size.

For quick street driving / occasional track work cannot beat GG (hard) Compound R888s, I got great life out of the ones I have used in the past.

My car won't be going anywhere near a track and I drive like nana, so I think they would have been fit for purpose for my needs:)

As you say, someone who drives more spirited than I do and occasionally goes on the track will have different needs.

I'd be interested in your feedback on the Dragon Sports.  I will be looking at them when my 130i needs new shoes.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it already but the RE003 is branded Firestone Indy 500 in the US and is currently rating very well.

bumping this thread to remind people to check your tyres with the wet season coming up

aand bridgestone seem to be doing buy 1 get 1 free right now too

Buy one get one half price isn't it?

Works out the same as buy 3 get one free I think.

I had Bridgestone Ecopia on my 3.0R when it came into the country.

Previously I had always used Bridgestone RE001/002 on my VR-4. At first I was extremely dubious as to the Ecopia's touted fuel saving ability and their ability to keep me from flying off the road. I was pleasantly surprised - they are certainly more economical than my current set of boots (Goodyear somethingorother) and surprisingly grippy. The current tyres are really quick to protest at the slightest combination of turn-in and generous application of throttle.

Next time I'm definitely going back to Bridgestone.

not a fan of the last couple of generations of bs re001/002/003

i'd go for the toyo t1-sport, yokohama advan v105, goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric as all-rounders

or if you want to be a dry road demon, the nitto nt05.

^^^  good tyres but subject to dubious marketing.

That aside - They are a perfectly fine daily driver. Even in heavy rain they performed better than my RE003's I had on previous and better again than Dunlop Sport Maxx's

Anyone here driving on GY Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3s? Tossing up whether or not I want to stick to RE003s or try something else. They're for my 3.0r so comfort is important, which RE003s are average for.

The Asymmetric 3s are a good $ more per tyre vs the RE003.

They will be good if you can get them for the same price as RE003 otherwise probably not worth the extra.  Otherwise Hankook S1 Evo 2.  Buy 3 get 1 free at Hyper.  K115 Prime 2 might also be good for a more comfort oriented tyre.

I'm running K117 (Hankook S1 Evo2) on my Legacy. Quite comfortable, not too harsh on stock suspension, plenty of grip.
The K115 is slightly cheaper and designed more towards comfort than performance.

I had Hankook Ventus V2 Concepts on the 3.0R. Absolute S***. Scared myself more than once in the wet with them, and not much better dry. It could get all 4 spinning with little effort. Early this year I picked up a set of Zetums. Way better, both wet and dry. Apparently they're no longer made though.

The Concept 2s are much better than their predecessor. They are an all season so obviously not as good as a quality summer tyre when it comes to dry grip but they are a good all rounder. Good rain and cold weather performance, ok in the snow and the best all season i've driven in the dry.

I'd hate to drive on the predecessor then! Those V2s have put me off Hankook for a long time. Not sure why we have very different experiences of them.

Edit - ah Concept 2, not V2 Concept.....

Yeah it is a confusing name, the new tyre is a hankook ventus v2 concept 2. They stopped making the one you hate and started making the tyre I'm talking about to replace it. Much better.

I run the Hankook Ventus on the Hilux, Love them, very very good in the wet and the dry, Have not had an issue while pushing the heavy pig hard, I get bloody good milage out of them ( 60,000k) and drive them on every thing from heavy snow to loose Gravel.

I rate them high

I've had some pilot sport 4's now for over a month and loving them

I have Pilot sport 3's on my 86 and they're really good for a DD, especially on the wet. The sidewalls are too soft for track use though. So +1 on PS4

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
