I installed an E4 ECU into the Legacy to run the VF8.

I have had a good look around the internet but can't seem to find the exact info Im looking for.

I am wanting to know the Max boost level, Boost cut and fuel cut limits. 

The only info I can find is on Dirty Ol BC, but it only list the ECU numbers not the specs.

Can someone please let me know where the info is or what it is if you know yourself.

I like to know whats happening with my car and also can tell somethings going wrong.

From what Ive picked up max boost should be 10psi but Im sitting at about 12psi. Could the high boost level be because of the bigger free flowing exhaust? 

Any help would be awesome

Would 12psi on stock 10 psi ecu be much of an issue with air fuel ratios? And do I need to invest in a a/f gauge as soon as?

It runs fine but just don't want to damage anything.

Technically it's the correct turbo and ecu combo. But yeah will need to get a wide band to check. Pretty sure you can't tune these ecu's.

As others have said free flow exhaust does add boost. I doubt it will be leaning out anywhere near enough to cause an issue. Stock tune is hella rich. But I do endorse getting a wideband for the sakes of having one, they're quite handy things to have and a good way to see if something is wrong. 

 

Old 4 plug ecu can be chip tuned, but it's stupidly tedious and overly complicated (no live tune tho).

Yeah normally this is true but hes installed the ecu and the turbo the car is ment to run, so everything is still 100% technically

 

Your exhaust will be helping your turbo loads, hence the extra psi as evowrx said, if your car is running good then its likely your o2 sensor is doing its job

 

Enjoy the extra 2psi, imo nothing strange there :) the vf8 you'll need an aftermarket ecu if you want to tune it, pretty sure our old ecus cant be changed

 

and had and ecu with a speedlab chip in it, it was ok but have heard stories that all the chips are S*** as the tune doesnt suit the car its just copied and pasted 1000s of times

also, just to add so you can get a scope of the strength of our old ej20g

when i was a young fella I used to run them completely stock, with boost @ 20psi and map sensor unplugged so it didnt boost cut (terrible for the engine, i do not do this any more lol)

Never had any problems other than blowing a few turbos, factory longblock never gave up in multiple cars :P

Sweet. Will look into that. 

Would be good to find out what sort of power it's putting out too. 

Should be getting some extra cash in the next month or so. Will get it booked in then.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
