RA Roof vent on V7 Wagon

You have map lights, yes? Assuming you do those will have to be removed. Then there is a bracket the lights bolt too which is spot welded to the roof vent bracket underneath (GC/GF all have thato bracket stock), assuming the 7 wagon does as well. That will need to be carefully drilled off the roof to break the spot welds, you will then be able to bolt everything in easily, assuming you have all the parts.

You will have to drop the roof lining down in order to see if the bracket is actually under the map lights and obviously cutting and drilling holes in the roof for mounting etc

Pretty sure I have map lights.

When everything arrives (hopefully this week) ill drop the roof lining to see whats going on. I hope all the bolts and things come with it. Its second hand and ill give everything a repaint just to freshen it up. Also get the main part painted blue (currently white) professionally. Shouldn't cost too much for that.

@4G63B8 Yeah, I tried to find another Wagon with it but couldnt find much. In the US I dont think they have Sti Wagons so they stick with Sedans.

@Batbaruman Any tips?

Tempted to do a write up or video on installing it on the wagon if I have time.

Finished installing roof vent but still need to paint blue.

Other than being second hand and a bit old it works very well at pulling air in as my cars air conditioning goes down to 20 degrees and does nothing to cool the car down when its 30 degrees outside. This works very well with low noise, very happy with that. Also looks mint :P

Here are some pics and yes it hurt cutting holes in it... :(

awesome! can I buy a kit anywhere or do you have to grab them when they pop up on trademe etc.

I was very lucky and got it off trademe for $100, snapped it up shortly after it was listed. You can buy a new kit from japan but costs 700ish total. Its the only V7 one I have seen on trademe since the 5 months I have been watching new listings. They do pop up on FB but still not often.

Are you sure you don't just need your A/C re-filled?

idk maybe. When its on 20 degrees (lowest temperature) and on full fan it does nothing in terms of making it colder, sounds like a 747 taking off tho.

$100 is a steal, I had a GC8 one that sold in about 3 minutes for $400.

Yeah definitely, pretty hard to get.

Painted it myself just tonight, primer, base coat and clear. Gonna remove the orange peel tomorrow and it will look new :P

Came out minter than I expected :)

sorry bro missed the tag, only recently got back from 3 weeks away in Bali :D to be honest i'd have had no advice/tips anyway since Ajay at @Subirex Automotive did my install and I sourced my billet latch for it from @Dairusire

Looks like you done an awesome job on the install though. don't you love how efficient/effective these are? make minimal noise as well and as long as the car is moving it's an amazing supply of cool air. i still suffer in traffic though with no a/c :(

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
