These are tuned for 100+ octane so as @TNHSTI said, 98 will still give small amounts of knock, but is remarkably better than 95. Don't even touch 91 with these

Don't even touch 91 with a Turbo Subaru! 95 at least.

I know once I go down the path of ST for my BE, I'll be doing the petrol tune with 95, and be doing FlexFuel too, so E85.

@thewabbit1 did Silicone hoses on his wagon. Post about the hoses etcetera here.

Not sure where to get them, I'm sure wabbit would know!

Trade me is your answer - https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/other/listing-1911873538.htm?rsqid=09d600e7e00f4cbf9d1433e201e7a314

Collating info from a few other threads, thanks to @Marky @Rosssub and @A_J_T

Rev A-C you need:

    1 x 45mm to 38mm 45' reducer elbow

    1 x 45mm to 38mm 90' reducer elbow

Rev D you need:

    1 x 45mm" to 54mm 45' reducer elbow

    1 x 45mm to 38mm 90' reducer elbow

@thewabbit1 Thank you for condensing the info, and providing the link!

Now, being a Sub "Newb", what "Rev" is my Legacy GT-B BH5 TT auto? The year states a 2003 on the registration, but it looks like a 2002.

Correct Normal PSI should be 14.5psi on primary secondary should be around 10-12psi

@TNHSTI Do I need 2 boost gauges to read them individually?

99.99% sure it'll be a Rev D. Two ways to tell, first is looking at your VIN tag (most reliable). See beside Applied Model it says BH5D. A Rev A will be BH5A

Another way is the headlights. A Rev D has headlights like this

Where as a Rev A-C has headlights like this

Pretty sure the Rev D started in Mid 2000. A few people believe that any legacy built in 2000 is a Rev D. Early ones will be Rev C, later ones are Rev D. The production of 3rd Gen legacys (like ours) continued through to end of 2002 but continued to be sold into 2003 when the 4th gen (BL/BP) started. Its just one of those weird things with cars.

My full production code for my car is a 2001 BH5 Legacy GTB ETune II. As its registered, its a 2001 Legacy. I've seen other cars (same spec as mine) registered as Legacy Turbo, Legacy GTB and Legacy ETune II

April 2003 was the last month for Japanese manufacture of the 3rd Gen Legacy.

If you enter your cars VIN # here (clicky clicky!) it tells you all sorts of interesting things!

VIN # is on the manufacturer tag and looks like BE5-###### or BH5-######

For instance my RSK was made on 29-05-2002, not sometime in April 03 like I thought...o.O

@thewabbit1 Its a rev D... Thanks! So, if the registration says it's a 2003, why does it look like a 2002? Was is a half model year? Or because it was a Japanese import...i have some Japanese certificates I was given for the car when I bought it.

Keep in mind the rego is based off year of first registration anywhere in the world, not when it was made. If it sat on a dealers lot for a year, it could be an early 2002 build, registered here as a 2003, for example.

Nope just one when you boost it you will/should see the primary boost up and then drop off as it changes over to the secondary then the secondary should boost up

@TNHSTI I've been using Gull 98 for the last 3 fillups. It almost sounds like It, but it's from more under the car. I don't know what the boost PSI/BAR is. Is there a way to get the reading on the digital dash? It's a gauge I would like to get. What type should I be looking for?

This forum is great! Thanks for all the help!

I will probably get called out for this, but a long time ago when I had my first rev d GTB I remember reading Gulls own information about their 98 blend as I was about to fill up for the first time at a Gull

Their brochure actually implicitly recommended to NOT use Gull 98 in our cars (I am guessing because of the ethanol? Or some additive?)

Try a tank of BP 98. As for the sluggishness you mention, does not sound right at all. Even an auto rev d should give you a decent pull from a stop if you give it the beans.

Take a vid?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
