114.3 wheel options

Recommended Posts

Looking for some new wheels for a GRB

something similar to the factory BBS twin spokes but wider.

Darker colour or bronze  (bronze has grown on me since I fitted the bbs ones)

@Niran has managed to fit 9.5” offset ET38 on his so they work just.

Measured up the clearance from suspension and arms as well as an other area. Looks to be at least 15mm on all the interior sides. Should be safe to be 8-10mm less clearance. Closest bit is the front inner wheel well. The bit directly in front of the wheel so easy to pull forward since it attached with push in plastic clips.

I'm a massive fan of Kiwami’s too but reckon on these cars they suit rims with a recessed spoke outer edge to give the appearance of a deeper lip. Like @Niran’s. Not quite the RPF kinda lip though, with dark colours they just look like you're only running 16’s 😂

Fitment wise i think you'd have a better time with like a +40 to +45 offset (not sure about inner clearance though). When i first put my wheels on, they stuck out just over a cm from the front guard lol. Running the lower camber bolt at max, and coilovers are set on zero. Lots of guard rolling to make it fit (if you want to run a lower setup). But yeah, couldn't be happier with these Rays gramlights! They are.. wait for it.. extremely light! :D

I dunno aye. I hate the Kiwami's lol. Not sure what people see in them. Guess that's why we all get different wheels though aye, taste.

IMO, figure out what function you want out of them - race, street roller etc. If they are just for cruising around then they don't need to be light. But a light set of wheels, albeit pricier, make a big difference with less unsprung weight. My new wheels are 1 inch wider, and running 265s vs 245s, and weight only went up 200g per wheel.

Note that the 9.5" version is an aggressive offset and size. If you're putting this on a GD chassis car with any kind of big tire size (245 or larger), or a GR/GV with 265 or larger, you'll probably need to roll or otherwise modify your fenders.”

soooo my current setup you see if work emotions 18x9.5 +38 on a 265 potenza re71r, camber specs are around -2.5F/-3.3R(yes fenders rolled and pulled)...

Instead of the Rota DPT how about the wheel they copied, Volk CE28N 18x9.5

More than twice the price and not the greatest range of offsets. Have to order them and hope they fit :(

Their website specifically says they will clear Brembos, I guess it's just clearance from other bits and pieces you have to worry about.

There's just something about supporting blatant knock-offs like that that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They could at least change them a little bit?

Yeah I get what you are saying.

I don’t like the cheaper ones but the difference is $2k.

They clear brembos but depends on the offset and car like evos have mid offset so clears better.

Also they are mostly 8.5” wide in the fitment guides so same 245 tires as factory.

hmmm seeing as they have a grb section, does that mean they can guarantee it in the right offsets to clear your brakes and such? i think that was the main concern right?

that last BBS one looks really cool, the first one looks cool too but at same time it's almost identical to the newer subarus stock wheel

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
