EZ30 Not running very well

No. After tipping in half a bottle of octane booster as mentioned further up this page, each fill thereafter I just filled with petrol. The IAM seemed to stay off 0.000 but never reached 1.00. From memory it ran around 0.3-0.4 for around 6 tanks of petrol.

 

The other week I had to tow a car trailer with car on, so prior I filled the tank and used the remaining half bottle of octane booster. Very disappointingly the IAM went straight down to 0.000 and stayed there. 2 further tanks of petrol later the IAM is at 0.156.

 

So the next time I have to tow a car trailer and car, I will try the whole bottle of octane booster, which should bring the octane up by 6 points ( for the full bottle ).

 

The car should be running better as I moved further away from work, before I lived a lot closer and it was all stop start urban roads. Now it gets a decent run each day and my commute is 30-40 minutes, which is almost exclusively motorway. The dash usually reads around 8.4L/100km

Hi guys

 

I got 2 H6 leggies with me and one have an issue similar to this.

 

Good running one got 200k +

naughty one closing towards 170k

 

Both 5EAT auto 2004 H6

 

I tried with running on 100 octane, which is available around the corner from my place down here in Christchurch it has no effect so don't waste your money pumping overpriced 98 in Auckland.

 

Changed all the sensors and even swapped the throttle bodies between cars. Before this I did all the text book stuff and poured a ton of cash.

 

Done list

Fuel pump, filter, regulator

sparks

Set of injectors (Used)

Airfilter

MAF ( New and a used also tried the one from my other car)

MAP sensor

 

But strangely enough I got the car to run absolutely fine with the alternator pin disconnected. Otherwise it has this fuel trim issue goes to +25% and burns gas like a tank going to the battle.

 

I also changed the ECU tuning and got the car to run little bit better by changing injector settings and the MAF readings to read higher than stock values. But still there is a point in certain amount of load where it stumbles.

 

My other car which runs perfectly has it's air intake cracked just like in these pictures but that seems to not cause any issues. ECU should compensate for that.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
