Catless Downpipe for a 2005 JDM V9 STi

hey guys

I currently own a 2005 V9 JDM STi. stock turbo (twin scroll)

Upon purchasing the car I noticed it already had a custom/aftermarket catless downpipe. I have had a look and can see my downpipe is rusting out and becoming flakey. Im in need to replace it preferably with a stainless steel one, as my aftermarket exhaust is already stainless steel. I would prefer to buy one already done so I can just drop it in. I dont really have many friends with Subaru's to help me so thought I would try my luck here. are there any shops here or in japan that could possibly ship one out?  any help would be appreciated!

I’d be inclined to clean it up and respray with header paint and call it a day. Unless by rusting out you mean it's actually steel flaking from serious rust and not just old paint?

Worst case scenario if you get a new one is a bit of boost spike if the dynamics of it are considerably different from the current one. 

 

Invidia make decent enough ones that aren't too expensive. Or possibly pbms but theirs are mild steel. Just be careful ordering as some models this age were single scroll so not all sites make it super clear what they're offering

All of the Invidia ones are single scroll only so no good for this application. PBMS is the only catless twin scroll that I know of currently. Anything out of Japan will have a cat convertor typically

sweet sorry about late reply guys! Have touched base with PBMS, but a bit of a bummer as im trying to get a SS one. Cant seem to find any at all, such a pain!
