So, I’m finally back in the market for another car.

Had to sell my Legacy ? I was diagnosed with epilepsy a couple of years ago and no point holding onto it when it needs to be driven and the missus don’t want to.

Anyway, I’m looking pretty seriously at a 2016 Levorg 2.0 GTS tS.

Are there any known issues or things that I should be aware of?

Also there’s not much info on non USDM FA20F engines out there, are they timing belt or chain?

It looks like all FA and FB engines are timing chain based. I can't speak to any issues. Are you getting a PPI, I find them very helpful. Just make sure you get all the pages of the report.

In the end after test driving a couple of Levorgs, I really, really wanted to like them, but the gearbox just completely ruined it. Heaps of go from the FA20 but just no sense of occasion, an old school auto would have been waaaay better.

If I could’ve convinced the missus I would have just gotten another gen 4 wagon. Ended up with a mk7 Golf GTI instead.

Several years later and we needed to replace the Premacy. Convinced the missus to look at Levorgs. I wanted to give them another look and see if maybe I was just expecting too much from a CVT or driving it wrong.

Dunno why I didn’t like the last one I drove, but maybe it had issues. We test drove two, a 2.0GT and a 1.6GT-S and settled on the 1.6 mainly because of the spec and kms.

So glad to be back in a bus, I love my Golf, but I’d forgotten just how good Subaru were with their suspension tuning and the AWD.

Its good to be back!

I did, but nice ones were double what we paid for the Levorg, and already having a Golf I know what they cost to fix so not worth going for a cheaper one which is still at the edge of our budget anyway.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
