Cheers, I hadn't noticed the BG one. They're almost identical except for the twin turbo crap.

I think the ignition should be sweet, if not I guess I'll know straight away. Not sure about the BCS but that will be easy enough it'll either work or it'll be stuck on wastegate pressure.

Clutch and down pipe to buy then in to it, can't wait.

ok so here we go, Ive got a 2001 twin with what i thought was a ej206 engine allgood so ive got all the bits together for a single turbo conversion including a v4 or 5 ecu which is what ive been told i would need for the car to go, catch 101 it turns out its actually the ej208 engine in my car does anyone know if the v4 or 5 (just cant remember) ecu will still work????

don't have the specific answer to your question but,

V1/V2 is generation 1 impreza ecu

V3/V4 is gen 2

V5/V6 is gen 3

the wiring and expected sensors are different for each pair.

i think you will have compression matching problems with the newer legacy engines, i don't have the info but believe them to be higher than the expected 8:1 / 8.5:1 ratio of the STI blocks. The STI ecu is tuned for lower compression and will not play nicely with the high comp blocks.

find out more about your engine then look for a suitable ecu to suit, aftermarket may be your only option. gazzy2000 may know, he had similar problems

quick question for those that have done the bg5a conversion,

my powersteering pump has a plug on it, had a wire & ecu connection on the TT loom + ecu etc

but on the 3plug ecu/loom there is no wires for it. is this ire a warning system or is it required for me to have powersteering?

cheers

hi im currently doing the twin turbo to single turbo conversion on a 4 plug BG5a . i have all the parts from a 1992 legacy wagon and have pretty much bolted it all onto the TT block. I wasnt able to use the same intake and ended up with a ver1 rex intake i have noticed that the TPS different what ways around this???

change Throttle body?? or loom on intake?.

i know it says on the coversion to use a 3plug ecu and yellows etc.

but i have a 4 plug ECU from the 1992 legacy whch i have already started repinning.

does anyone have a better copy of the ECU pinouts i can use???

I have a 1s ECU for sale, 3 plug WRX as per the pin out docs in the above links. 1s ECU runs yellows, orange AFM and is made to run a VF22, far better ECU for teh TT to ST and i have used one of these in the same conversion myself. PM me if you interested.

ALso might have a v3/4 manifold with the engine loom (under manifold) with the right angled IACV etc

so Ive single turbd my Be5 legacy has turned out mint conversion was done over one weekend with only the small tidy up bits done beyond the weekend .. little things like bolting the ecu back down etc... running the GFB EBC set at 13.4 psi running a v5 or v6 non sti ecu v7 silicon intake sleeve using the standard intake box about to replace the air filter for a free flow panel filter. Using a V7 fuel pump (it sounds cool not sure if it really does anything flash, not really bothered), full redline 3" exhaust, semi tuned length extractors.

and thats my story haha big ups to GAZZY2000 the electrical guide was extremely helpful !!! followed it step by step only thing that wasnt done was the fuel pump relay so the pump doesnt prime and stop it just primes haha.

cheers

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
