Secondary turbo not always boosting

So I have installed a zerosports sequential controller and it works great.

However the second turbo doesn't always boost. this is something that was happening before the controller went in but now know for shore as the controller tells me what turbo is working.

It enters the VOD and sometimes it wont go into secondary and it sits at about 10psi and other times it goes into secondary and boosts to 14-15 psi.

this was happening before the controller went in.

Any ideas?

I would look at the actuator for the crossover valve, if it only happens sometimes maybe its got a problem with it, if it happened all the time id be thinking a vacuum line was off or something along those lines, or your black box of doom has a problem= not fun to fix

The exhaust control valve is under the secondary turbo and is controlled by the big wastegate actuator-looking thing attached to the secondary. The intake control valve is in the pipe between the secondary and the intercooler. Both controlled by the BBOD.

if it goes into VOD then I'd assume the exhaust valve is opening. Check the pressure differential sensor

yea i reckon it will be something to do with this,

i didn't know what it was so pulled both hoses off trying to get free boost and it run primary but then no boost from 4250 on.

Ps. which line do i take off to get 2ndry free boost?

i thought it was the one to the secondary blow of valve or bypass valve as they call it. if you un plug that the bypass valve wont open so you get free boost? that valve controlls how much boost the secondary gives? can anyone else confirm? i do not recommend doing this. boost will proberly cut at 16psi from ecu but these ecu do not give enough fuel to run that sort of boost..

by removing the ability to have the bypass valve/sec bov, you should not free boost. this should be feed direct of the mainifold or BBOD, cant remember.

but the ones that go behind the battery connect to the wastegate and the boost solinoid, if you play with these, you can cause free boost.

nobody will recommend it, unless there is a good reason for it or its a car you with to damage the engine in

right so i have been doing some playing. With the ZS controller off it goes into secondary fine but with it on it only goes sometimes. and sometimes when it does go i get a very long VOD till like 5.5 then it hits and i'm fine.

Also I don't get secondary in 1st gear with it off and with it on I some times get secondary..... Confused. I am

Its standard apart from an atmo bov.
