If this hasn't already happened I am keen on two 225/45 17's.

Have cash ready etc

I can have a talk to blake on monday (getting my wheel alignment done then). He's off friday and saturday.

Otherwise, you can talk to him too. Firestone Glen Innes; 09 521 4710, ask for blake, and mention the ClubSUB Group buy.

Obviously 225's will be more, but it should still be a very good discount.

Re the RE001's V RE050's

I've never had the RE001's behave as badly in the wet as amy describes, and would describe their loss of traction as pretty pedestrian and predictable. About the worst i'd get is understeering around roundabouts severly. But this last week i've seen amy's 001's in the wet and they do NOT behave. I'm putting it down to miss matched tyres front and rear. That is flat out a bad idea.

My big gripe with the 001's is that the insides get chewed out fucking fast if you run camber, and do a lot of spirited driving. Mine were worn to the canvas on the inside, yet, still had 2mill tread on the outside. HOWEVER, my dads BH, has had them just as long as i've had mine, and they still have 5mm trear evenly accross the tyres. It's amazing what a different driver and alingment can do.

With the 050's, it's early days, i haven't done even 200k's on them yet, but already the wet traction is feeling superior. We'll see how it goes eh! When i get the alignment done this weekend i'm knocking camber back from -1º, to -0.5º, hopefully i can keep the 050's for a bit longer than 25,000K's.

Remember mine are the Thai ones too. I also think they are either old or baked stock - they've gone 40,000km and only down to low tread (~2mm) on the inside now. And they started misbehaving more or less like the last week or so since they were worn in, 250km from brand spankers.

I HAVE had a set of Japanese ones. They lasted 20,000km, and were excellent for the first 10,000km. My camber killeded them dead (always have the best ones up front, now you can see why!), and they started getting all silly...threw them backward, got the current RE001s...which, when the Japanese ones died, got rotated to the rear and have since seen a pair of RE050s up front, and the current RE-11s.

This is why I'm just going to bite the bullet and half-bankrupt myself on a second pair of RE-11s :P

Yvonne, Reuben, Chris and Matt would have noticed that my car's tendency is MASSIVE oversteer originating from one of the rear tyres every time it decides it's going to misbehave. The RE-11s simply can't compensate for the wild snap the RE001s cause, and the RE050s couldn't either. This will also be somewhat helped by a rear LSD instead of open >:(

No matter! $300 from this pay aside, $300 from next pay...I will be able to manage it :) (and not eat. Lol. Not that that'll do me any harm ::))

Not being rude, but I dont think its the tyres. You do drive very aggressive.

Remember smooth is fast

Aye, aye.

Definitely get a matched set of tyres or one day you too might go pirouetting off-track like that twit in the Honda at Puke.

And get the suspension sorted by someone who knows what they are doing !

GC8s, stock, STI whatever do not normally exhibit snap oversteer unelss something or someone is bung.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
