ok sweet, i was thinking about CCing the yellows i have to 550cc or 540, forgot how big he said he can make them :\'( :\'( :\'(. So the block should be fine? and the head\'s i may send away to be ported. im going to have this motor bouncing off limiter alot so only reason im forging an to handle extra power and revs. may go for bigger power at a later date but im happy with 250 kw at the rear wheels :)

will scrap the sleves then, just wanted to make sure they were or wernt needed. does anyone know the best bearings to use? funky says OEM? i heard cosworth is very good to. to assemble it, possum bourne motorsports?

I do most of the work myself however im not going to do this as ive never done it before and its expensive to mess up :-X :-X :-X

Only phase 2 yellow/pinks are decappable and then they flow 850cc+. A lot of builders prefer oem hen some recommend acl race others cosworth. Gen are big $ though. PBMS do a good short block by memory just buy one done and bolt heads on? Save you some $ in the long run and think they use gen bearings/argo rods/je pistons. I think...pay to have a troll on tm.

linkemsuby - lots of people use lots of brands successfully, its really down to engine builder preference and therefore you should be talking to them about recomendations.

regarding the injector sizing i was more inferring stock injectors wont flow enough, and that a minimum of about 600 would be required for 250wkw, obviously larger leaves more head room.

if you want the ultimate simple / easy solution just buy the 450+hp PBMS shortblock and bolt on factory sti heads. job done.

i wouldnt port the heads, you dont need to, i\'ve been running 305wkw at all fours successfully for some time on factory as sti heads. is money you could better spend else where imo

Get my wheels tomorrow.

Also picked up my extended wheel studs and wheel spacers, not looking forward to doing the studs!

Just loosen the abs ring, and use two open ended nuts to wind in the new studs. It\'s easier than you\'d expect

Removeo mudflapso pronto (if nothing else the roads gonna cheese grater the front ones haha)

Front needs to come up slightly, low is cool but needs to be even or it just looks de-sprung ow

Good luck with certing that haha - what is it like 60mm clearance?

Didn\'t get to measure but I doubt you would have got two fingers between the exhaust and the ground. Not sure how cert will/would go since I found out one of the fronts is shot.

New wheels are on and it looks so tough, pics when I sort out a clearance issue between the wheel and the strut so it will actually move

Sent the halves of my turbo off to MSE to be combined into some sort of wonderful rod-bending piston-melting TMIC-cooking beast.

GT3071 in p20 housing ae sir? Keep us posted.

Actually I picked up a Subaru-Garrett housing cheaper than the machining would have cost. Still sitting on that P20 though cos if the Garrett isn\'t spooly enough I\'ll make a VF34P20 and give that a hoon.

Vf34 and ported p20 will make a good combo! I ran a 34 and that was very responsive for what it is!

Yeah my bog-standard VF34 is super spooly - almost too spooly which is why I\'m building this mongrel small-turbine GT3071R with a Subaru flanged 7cm^2 housing on the back. Should still be relatively responsive but not fall over torque-wise after 4500rpm.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
