I am following the STI-TypeR thread pretty closely as it is the same car and I really liked the way he did things and I'm pretty sure he got a lot of ideas from evilra? Either way its good fun!

marc is coming over to have a look soon. Unplugged afm again, did a quick drive and got to 0.2bar (most I was willing to push it), and ran heaps better.

That was a seriously tidy car David did a good job I remember when he did the mish from dunedin to hometown dargaville. Pedro on here now has that car and I would guess still as tidy as ever.

Bit hard to diagnose over the phone but had narrowed it down to afm related symptoms via your call. Turns out when people use COILPACKS (1x Coil on plug) as a BOV Recirc bung they dont work very welL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knew i should have changed it when I saw that though to myself some people (rolled eyes!!). surprised it stayed in on your track days etc!

None the less sorted that and your exh gasket and a trip to west ..

Would have been nice to run it in myself but i was not so sure I wanted a possible fine haha.

Well, its all legal to drive now got a WOF today. 280kms into the run in, after the above mishap it ran smoothly on Thursday night. Will be great when i can run more than 8psi boost, its really weird driving it like that, take a motorway onramp in 2/3/4 up to 5500, makes all the right noises on full throttle, look down and im still only doing 100kph good way to keep my licence I guess.

Replaced the under manifold intake on my Bg5. What a b*#ch of a job! Crank case breather just crumbled to bit and numerous hoses were super brittle and broke so had to replace all of them too! Ran out of light so will finish it up tomorrow. Shouldn't take too long, just gotta refit alternator, power steering pump, header tank, refill with coolant and bleed and put the intercooler back on.

Love the little scoops. Your bonnet layout is very similar to mine. Have you had any issues with the bonnet flexing at high speed?

Cheers.. The scoop and vents are carbon fibre and bolted to the bonnet which is factory ally one. no flex yet but can't say its ever seen high speeds yet either, perhaps it will flex when i launch passed you north island boys at mm race day lol?

Gave the interior a full out clean up. Should have probably done it the say i got it. Was pretty disgusting how much black gunk i managed to get off it

Be interested to see how it goes for you. My small scoop is only fibreglass and it has pulled a few bolts loose before on the track. And a decent size truck coming the other way will flex my bonnet just enough to be disconcertning.

My bonnet flexes when passing a big truck on open road. Almost looks like it's going to get ripped off. All bolts on bonnet are tight.

Not so much doing, just realised my rego has lapsed...Sneaky seller lol never double checked the rego, said she had updated it another 6 months lol was only 3 months....Also fighting off car mod bug for now, must save and put on other bits first let alone buy a new set of tyres etc. Don't you hate it when you have to ensure the need's are done first instead of the "wants" haha

Still in testing stage with flipped manny, rails, new lines etc but very happy!
