So, from Saturday morning to Sunday night, I drove 1845.6km, on a Brand new motor and unproven Suspension / driveline setup. Exhaust hanger came off. 

That's it. 

 

Was really good to get down to Welly and stay with @chulozumo in Welly. Went for a cruise up the Rimutaka ranges and wow the RA grips, even in the wet on RE002's

 

Really freaking stoked at how well the car performed and now back to @Subirex Automotive To rip out the old ECU, MAP, Fuel tank, Fuel filter, Fuel Rails w/ injectors and other miscellaneous things and get her ready for the tune @ D-Tech on the 2nd of Feb and a drive up to Leadfoot.

 

Also need to take exhaust off and stick a camera up the downpipe... There's a bloody rattle coming from inside it and god damn that was annoying over nearly 2000km....

Stock BR9 horns (not sure what comes on JDM, NZDM have round horns) are super pathetic and I just couldn't stand them at all so as a temporary measure swapped BLE horns into BR (too bad the car sold before I had a chance to put them back in , hopefully the new owner doesn't mind them )

Mitsuba's were always on my list and I finally got a chance to install them, had similar ones in my BH and loved them, not a fan of Supertones at all.

 

Before:

Can only see one stock (out of BLE) horn, the other one sits behind LH headlight.

 

 

After:

Mitsubas, fully relocated

 

 

Surprised myself with a very tidy install, think I deserved a cold beersie

JDM are just the same crap ones. On my list as well. They sound so pathetic!!!

Put a whiteline 22mm adjustable rear swaybar on after work, then went for a bit of a hoon. I see now why everyone raves about these, greatly reduced body roll and really helps the back end rotate when you throw it hard into a corner. I left it on the middle setting for now.

Well it has only been 45 ish mins of driving so far. I feel like the re002s are the saving grace here, it really takes a lot to get them to break loose on flat dry road (today). I might change my mind after some rain. I reckon with the sti front bar too it is going to be a really nice package.
