Tested its off-road abilities when google maps took me on a tiki tour to a tiny dirt forestry road in the middle of buttfuck nowhere. Get 80% of the way through and there\'s a gate in the middle of the \'road\'. So had to do a thirty point turn in reverse up the side of the hill. And it was raining. And no cell reception.

Thank fuck for Subarus I can tell you that!

Between myself and my fabricator/mechanic/allround GC, wired the IAT sensor, finished welding up the downpipe, made up half the plumbing for the gate, planned out the intake pipe and generally felt pretty good about where it\'s at.

Yeah but got it brand new, it goes really well though and I don\'t plan on tracking the car for a long time, so i dont see it grenading anytime soon and if it did, I\'m likely to have refurbed out of caution or gone holset by then haha. I have a td05h(changed because damaged flange to downpipe and I\'m a worrywart , so doid\'t want to leave it to chance(under a budget) that goes well and isn\'t Chinese for backup in the case this dies, but seems to be going strong so it isn\'t likely anytime in the near/medium future.

Wouldnt mind will see what happens closer to time. Be in Omaha for few days around christmas but could likely make the trip over from Dargs for Mcd\'s with a casual side of holset after.

Cleaned the block up, took the sump off but the prick who\'d last put the sump on had used some gnarly silicone shit as opposed to a gasket and it was a bloody mission to prise the prick off. Gotta love it.

drove it from Wanganui to Hamilton via the para para... what an amazing road to do in the race car, didn\'t break the speed limit at all (that wasn\'t the point) and managed to clock in wgi to raetihi in 45mins.... such good corner speed and so easy to drive, so flat and so much grip in the corners.

reckon you could go sub 30mins if you were \'allowed\' to have a crack.

new coil overs are awesome, and it behaved the whole way up... stoked. most seat time in? 6 months. sad.

hell yeah the road is fantastic!!!! the road can be done quicker than 45 mins, but you have to be really attacking the corners, even without breaking the speed limit. love that road sooooo much!!!!!
