Did my Downpipe Gaskey while the forum was down on Saturday. Ended up busting out the cat converter and now i have a free flow exhaust

Check out how screwed my old gasket was!

Picked up my $2510 Legacy today from Whangerei, enjoying it so far except for the fact that I have already been given a CEL that I will hopefully diagnose tomorrow. Not sure if magically happened 50kms away from the dudes house or he conveniently forgot to mention it to me and or on the auction.

dont you just hate that when it happens.. your already a fair bit away from the guy and CEL lol.. hope its nothing serious

I mean really I should have gotten a pre purchase inspection or something but it was a split second decision to bid, not sure if that would have turned up in the PPI anyway. luckily I could turn the car off and on again to get rid of limp mode/ solid CEL.. Basically drove like I'm supposed to home with no issues at least.

I'd be out with a torch connecting the black diagnostic plugs and seeing what's wrong.

The CEL might only come on once it's warmed up?

I've been tempted to wire in a switch so I can change to CEL check mode far easier.

that way there's no upside down under-dash searching.

Spent $10 on a couple of lengths of pipe. Fabrication time.

Drove it to Lower Hutt so my old man could pick up his "new" 317,XXXkms 94 GT (BG5-A) wagoooon that he won on tardme, has cambelt and auto trans oils done at 300,000k lol, cost him $1100, engine bay is a bit Dusty, needs at least drivers side rocker cover gaskets done, and water in overflow tank was a bit brown so might need coolant flushed and replaced. other than that, rear bumper is a bit rough, has a few trolley dings. has twin sun roofs with no signs of rust & a tidy interior for a car that has done 300,000ks oh and can't forget the big bore, haha, he has louder exhaust than me! lulz
