What have you done to your car today?

Ha yeah, just the wide angle lense. Im not one of the stance boi mx5 owners.

Thanks.

Also fried my second wideband o2 sensor in a month, and hooked up launch control and a new headunit. Its amazing what $150 buys you these days.

My mini drama over the last 24hrs.

Took car to garage to have 4pots installed and new rotors. Picked up at end of day Friday. Looks good.

Drove <1km home. Brakes a little soft but ok. Inspect new brake/rotor look at home. Notice brake fluid in wheel arch and over tyre.

Investigate further, brake fluid all over inside of passenger side wheel.

Massive leak from hose to caliper connection. Looks like washer wasn't reinstalled. Its still on the old caliper.

Too late to take back to garage and closed for the weekend.

Custom 4pots paint ruined. New rotor (with black painted centre) ruined.

Try to take wheel off. Nuts on too tight as garage used impact gun. Break torque wrench (I know, wrong tool) trying to loosen.

Scissor jack then seizes with car off the ground.

Its been one of those weekends.

.. garage and I will be having interesting phone call on Monday.

Ooooh that sounds like an expensive mistake on the mechanics part. You'd think a quick brake test after the install would've revealed it. Guess that forgot that part too.
Thankfully the brakes have a fail-over and still work even if one caliper leaks.

(This week)

My bumper and bonnet has had its stitches removed. Realigned and resprayed etc etc. Looks fantastic! Also chucked on an 'Ez lip' and for $60 bucks i'm actually really pleased with how it looks.

Also slapped on a set of SSR Type F's in white.

Unfortunately after driving on them for 1 minute, I got about 1 km up my road and hit a huge F*** off pothole that bent one of the wheels. If that's not bad luck then I don't know what is. Soooooo now that poor wheel is at the shop getting fixed

Was cleaning my exhaust tips yesterday as I've just bought my bp5 and I noticed that my swaybar is pretty massive then googled part numbers and it's a 27mm rear bar. What is the stock size on a BP?

Geez that's a big one. For GT’s stock is a 20mm hollow bar. What brand is it?

It's black and has f3-27 written on it, can't see any branding on it.

I used my caliper tool and it's definitely 27mm.

It's nice buying a car and finding a bunch of goodies on it.

I would even consider downsizing that, a bar that enormous is probably doing bad things for your handling in all but the most extreme situations.

As you say, nice when you find tasty unexpected aftermarket parts though.

Agree with Boon

It’s a crazy thick bar. Is there something equally thick on the front to match? A Cusco or Whiteline one in their hardest setting at 21/20mm is more than enough at unless you wanna be hella stance-y with some 15k spring rate coilovers.

Perhaps instead of a 20/21mm solid bar, whatever the brand/company is decided a massive diameter (27mm) hollow bar would be the go...? Just a thought...

@iludez can you post a photo please? I'd like to see how out of proportion it looks mounted to the car.

Good point. Even if so, it’ll still be on the larger side of the spectrum at a 24ish equivalent solid bar.

Skylines are very pricey at the moment, I had a r32 with a 25det in it got tuned back at STM to 320kw and was so much fun and so much trouble haha. literally sold it to stop getting in trouble. many moons ago now though!

I would love a S15 though

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
