  1. Hi guys, I have an 03 Legacy wagon with the base (kenwood) stereo in it. I have an opportunity to buy the McIntosh stereo, amp and speakers with door cards for only $250. Just wondering if this sort of a conversion is possible or if it isnt worth the hassle? Thanks, Sam
  2. Hey dudes, I have purchased a 1999 gc8 v5 STI with a blown ej207 motor. I was looking at a version 7 complete engine to replace the blown engine which comes with all the goods ECU, engine loom, turbo etc. I've been told that the v7 motor will bolt straight in but have also been told that the v7 ECU will have trouble working with the car without some auto electrical work. I'm not the most familiar with subies so I'm a bit lost with knowledge but I know the v7s came with AVCS and the v5/6 doesn't. What are your thoughts? Will everything be plug and play or am I better off rebuilding the blown motor?
  3. Hi guys,have been looking into a project on my TSR over the next few years. I am looking to eventually convert my stock manual TSR legacy to a STI essentially. I am aware the TSR's have similar traits to the GTB but am not quiet sure how similar such as driveline and diffs etc. If i managed to get a wrecked v7 wrx (rear damage) i would look to convert engine, suspension, brakes, 6sp gearbox and seats. Just wondering for cert etc would there be any other major mods id need to make? and would anybody have any idea what cert would cost for all of this? Any advice/help would be very much appreciated.
