anyone know if the v7 sti steering rack is beter then the std v2 wrx rack?

spent all day in the workshop fitting the v7 running gear in the wrx!

started to remove the old 5 speed ready for the 6 to go in! ;D

to answer a question above... the clutch fork matches the clutch you use. 5mt clutch... 5mt fork, 6mt clutch... 6mt fork.
same with the starter motor, use the one that belongs with the clutch assembly.
6mt clutch is slighter larger so has more clamping force.
josh you rough ***t..... lol i run dccd AND r160 in the rear end and haven't smashed any axles yet. /touch wood
cant be giving it a enough of the go go pedal then lol ;D

swt i mite just put the hole 6speed set up in like you said they take abit more then the 5speed even tho i have a puk clutch in the 5speed at mo.

if i use the 5 speed clutch would i have to change the clutch fork?

picked up my 6 speed gearbox and a full set of brembo's just got to fit them now haha

& The mrs can add it up as much as they like but until they start paying for it, I'm sure it doesn't matter its just money,
they are more than capable of making & spending it too, maybe just not on tools/beer & mods but worse hair/make up, shoes, ornaments.... but its not my money ;D

WOW! and people say a Subaru engine bay cant be neat and tidy. Damn i would not want to know the amount of $$$ thats been put into that bay!
i think its around 12g with engine and turbo would hate for the mrs to add it all up lol

yer thats the easyest way then use a file to get the sharp bits off, give it a good clean up make sure no metal bits in there
