Is anyone running this in a bg5 legacy?
Are they any good?

I know single turboing it would be the easy choice but everyones done that and if i wanted a single turbo I would have just brought a WRX which would have saved me more money and parts would be more easier to get a hold off
-
Cool thanks for that I will keep that in mind as Im going to buy a new motor anyways to work on before implanting the beast. So a 2.5 might be better to start with.
Searched up that car you mentioned and it seems like a monster which is what I'm aiming for too so nice to know it can be done.
-
yip different flanges but worth the money also hence why I'm doing it at end of year once money frees up.
Dream is to have motor internals all forged flipped manifold to cleanup the front mount issue. and either of those turbos dual on both sides with seperate exhaust running out back (each turbo having separate exhaust piping out the back end

was running vf13 and vf14 but the primary seized so replaced it with a vf19 was going to upgrade the secondary to a vf18.
when I redo engine at end of year plan is to run either daul vf28's or vf30's but cant do this till I reforge the engine and slap a tuneable comp into it.
-
I am going to do flipped and throw some bigger turbos into it, budget just says piecemeal though
-
stink, ive already cut into my bumper I should have test driven it first I guess.
Is there any mechanism or ability to re tune this via Shred or Speedtech using standard ECU?
-
Apologies if this has been covered before.
A couple of months ago I put a Parrellal Extractor setup on my BG5 which was good for high end peformance and having both turbos kick in at same time without VOD.
In the weekend I put a front mount on and have noticed that the turbos dont kick in until around 4500RPM. Is this normal and if so is there anything I can do to make them kick in a little bit earlier?
-
oh :-[ so it is my apologies
-
I've tried maybe some links would be a better reply the search isn't as great as some suggest

Looking at up grading standard bg5 front and rear brakes to the sti 4 pot front 2 pot rear.
Are these a straight bolt up or do I need the hubs also?
-
sweet thats good news for me and upgrade purposes cheers.
-
Hi funkytown unsure what your meaning, are you saying if I have a twin parrellal setup I can use single turbo ecu's?
Might have been reading between lines or just getting over Monday blues and not reading it right
-
can you get link ecu's for twins though? never been able to find one.
-
just find this from here: http://aclassblog.wordpress.com/page/23/?archives-list&archives-type=tags
Now this is exactly what I'm after. How do they get it so the AFM isn't required?

Sounds exactly like mine when going up hills especially check engine light comes on and lose all power.
66 issue sucks hope you dont have the same thing
-
bump....
any help out there? im sure im not the first to try this
-
Has anyone done this before?
I brought a 99 Speedo cluster and the wiring loom for a STI and want to put this in my BG5 TT RS.
Ive measured it up and its slots into the gap nicely just some modifiy on the plastic surounding to make it look good.
However Im now looking at the wiring part and they are completely different. Ive searched online to find wiring diagrams so I can match up the connections on both but not having much luck. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for both these speedo units? or even point me to a sticky?
-
sweet that is a bit of a saving.
Havent removed the sensor yet i didnt actually know about needing to do it but was wondering. Right now ive just taken off the old ones and bolted up the Syms with the actuator not connected to anything.
Standard boost was 15 max before which i seem to have kept. Havent really thrashed it hard but will check all that stuff once back from the painters.
-
I hope more than I paid for them took me a long time to source them also.
Was wondering what you meant by CEL but I just clicked with help from google. Mine doesn't come on( except that darn 66 I've had for 2 years )

There's a couple of pics in the trade

When you say replace the diff sensor with a resistor im not to sure what you mean do you have any links or pics? I know the sensor you mean

Haven't really done a full tank yet and cars in getting fresh paint and some body work.
Before I was getting 500ish to the tank with a 2 1/2 " from turbos back though
