Hey guys, does anyone know the cost of lowering spring install?
I can get a decent set of springs, but due to my current situation i am unable to install them myself at all.
So i\'m just looking to see if anyone has had theirs done professionally, how much it cost, and whether that includes a wheel alignment or not etc.
If you know any places in Christchurch or Dunedin that would be even better!
Thanks.
Did cost me $120 @ mag&turbo + alignment on my old car.

aww yuss*, just dumped the coolant, looks like rusty water? still greenish, but no oil floating around in there.
*maybe not sure now.. orange water? thought that wasn\'t a good sign.

Oh wow its that kinda week for me too just sold my run about as no longer needed, put the money down on my missus bills, using her car now as single run about..
And sure the wrx has a hg leaking, was hoping to have it all finished with my new wheels which was going to be the final piece :\'(

:-[ Looks like I might have a failing head gasket, brownish coolant with a bit of a s]milky layer under the caps[/s], but nice clean oil?
Car has actually been off the road since last September due to doing other things to it. So hopefully this has been caught early?
Any recommendations for a repairer in Hamilton? or anyone interested in a cash job?
Wasn\'t milky, looked like a mist of wd40 had been sprayed on top of it.

What is a brake pipe? apparently it is unsecured.
According to my wof, and is estimated $45 to repair.. ???

just couldn\'t fit the blanket under the arm, even with the arm off.

Turbo blanket ... over the heat shield? fits great! is this safe?
I brought a lava blanket, and the damn thing wouldn\'t fit under the waste gate arm, so Iv\'e attached the heat shield and fitted the blanket around the shield with springs, good tight fit. Could this catch fire?

Drove it with the Tial 50mm BOV... wtf I bought this thing because I thought it would be reasonably quiet... 0psi on the gauge (haven\'t got it tuned yet) and it\'s like PARSSHSHHHHHHHH.... what\'s it going to do on 25psi
/quote]lol 50mm bov quiet
I figured large piston area = slower airflow = less noise. Wrong, lol.
Maybe it\'s just the filthy great big hairdryer is flowing heaps of air?
Plus the big ass poddy sounds like a Honda with a whale-penis intake DOORT DOORT PISSSH DOOOOOORT PISH. And that\'s not even getting into the boost
EDIT: At least the anti-surge sounds hella sick ;D
You might need a stiffer spring, I had to buy the larger spring as the standard one was too soft and yeah like you, it was opening at 0psi, a stiffer spring fixed that, then when you let off on boost it sounds like like a WUPASHH..TING, lol

Putting a BOV (thinking HKS SSQV) in a pretty much stock BH5 - good/bad idea? advantages/disadvantages? Will I need any adapters to fit one?
Cheers
As Roo said, you get the Vrrm Pshhh niose,
No performance gain, just noise. If you have a low/soft spring you will get erratic idle, too stiff/hard spring and it won\'t open.
-
you had to remove the whole guard?
-
is there a size difference between a v7/v8 sti wing? the big wing,.. just for extra clarification.
-
I keep say\'n in, they should just drop the wrx line and merge it into the legacy line.
-
wow really?, can they just stop calling it a wrx.
