$27? Ouch! In future watch out for armstrong chch on Trademe for stuff: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=576554955 $24 to your door.
I tried that, but didn\'t show much results, I did see this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/other/auction-578559806.htm and had a laugh,

Can i tune my 2000 impreza 20k this way? and how can i do it?
yes you can,
You need 3x things,
1x Wideband sensor (LC1) $250
1X Tactrix Cable (Google limitless for nz supplier) $237
1x Laptop with 2x spare usb ports
then visit romraider.com pretty much your self tuning bible. If still not keen to tune or mess with the tables (Warning you could most likely blow your motor if playing with things)
You could pay someone to tune it for a easy $250usd, and they can do it over email, (etune)
All up, about the same price as finding a dyno tuner locally that can tune open source, and not ecutek.

6000rpm in 5th is pretty much off the clock, no wonder things are breaking
-
haha, nice.. yeah i was scratching my head as I couldn\'t find that cel code in the leggy manual. I was going to mention if you wanted me to plug my scanner in, g/l with the o2
-
do you have the correct cel code too btw?
-
http://www.schnooze.com/files/legacy_manual/ Here\'s a link to a pdf manual, I think it\'s 04 model,
If you didn\'t have tgvs, the codes would have been disabled from factory.

ebay, you can source a carbon one for around $150 inc shipping.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/220423642433?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

I do this stuff on a regular basis as part of my job, the details will only return to what is updated in the system. Best to goto the police, might not be much help at first, but will later down the road.

+1 for a 2013 banner update ;D
-
i pulled the pins from the female connector, and plugged them straight into the male connectors, haha, at least I have working lamps now.
-
trying to avoid that, lol.

Any idea? I tried some of the honda shops for part request, but it\'s like pissing in the wind with them.
-
yeah nice whipp def throw in some springs ;D +1 on the sparco flaps, nice addition.
-
with a tune you will deff have alot more pickup, especially if you have the stock turbo (td04), a good tune can have you full spooled by 2500rpm, I did, was an absolute killer, i loved it but power died by 4800rpm lol. So I went bigger.
-
$1400 would probably be a second hand one, by suggestion would be a reflash on your factory ecu, where do you live and we can recommend a tuner.
You whole process should start by talking with a tuner and dont get hung up on chasing big power, maybe go for a drive in a car with 200kw and see what you think.
you should be able to get that easy enough with an exhaust and a reflash

Ah, if you guys could recommend a tuner that\'d be perfect! I live in Auckland.
I\'m not trying to chase massive gains in kw, I will just have the money left over (by the looks of things) and want to look into some small mods to add some performance and keep me happy. Building a mad performance racing uber machine has never been on the agenda - I don\'t have that much money!
So far I\'m wanting to upgrade:
- Exhaust system to a turbo-back
- Kartboy short throw shifter and bushings combo
- K&N Typhoon short ram intake kit
- Perrin lightweight pulleys
- Dyno tune!
Also, maybe the Perrin belt and radiator covers for a bit of bling because they look so damn cool :
http://www.flashtune.co.nz/ reccomended tuner on factory computer mate, give him a call,
nice car btw 8)

I also have a 4eat in a wrx, but i\'m sad with it.. :\'( will be swapping it out soon to a 5mt/6mt for bigger power.
I dropped in a v30, + sti pinks, v7 sti tmic + large trans oil cooler + high flow exhaust + tune
and put down 240whp, which is about same as lightly modded sti. the 4eat robs about 25% of what a manual can make,
-
The standard ecu can support quite a high level of tuning, and have just as much, if not more tunability than a link, at MUCH less cost
standard ecu can do everything that a link can do now that the standard ecu 2001+ wrx/sti has been unlocked/hacked.
If you go the tactrix/evoscan cable (evoscan also made in nz) you must get the wideband sensor.

I drive a bugeye, and purchasing my second ;D I do like the look, they do grow on you, but a stock bug is ugly, has to have atleast some drop and hids
