  1. Check to see what code its throwing first. It sounds it's either a big leak past the compressor wheel (unlikely because it would run crap on idle due to it probably getting unmetered air), the waste gate actuator is open slightly all the time or there is a problem with your map sensor.

Check all the boost lines to the map sensor and waste gate actuator. Also check that the waste arm? (I'm not sure if this is what it is called) is still attached to the physical part of the gate in the exhaust.

I would definitely check that code first though.

  2. got mine sorted today ;D, i cleaned up my MAP sensor, sprayed the hoses and inside the sensor itself and all the connections around that area with CRC. then i put the car into safe mode. (plugging the 2 connectors under the dash) took it for a drive and it had no codes. put some fresh gas in, unplugged the connectors and adjusted the idle control valve slightly. and she runs mint now.

yeah so maybe try a new MAP sensor, and taking it for a spin to make sure you have no codes.

    cheers, Jay

    HAHAHA!!! definatly!

i also found it so crazy how that cop could give that guy a $150 ticket without any proof of the guy doing anything?!

    Easy

2 witnesses gave sworn statements and are prepared to go to court...

above comment. just my view point, not looking for an arguement.

  4. definalty look at the wires around your ecu for the green wire with the black strip. make sure theres none cut or burnt out, and have you checked the wires to your icv. and the plug itself?

  5. use to have similar fault with my car. was the vehicle speed sensor though (code 33), the idiot that owned my car before me had a speed cut defender in when i test drove it and purchased it, but when i went to pick it up it was fine until i started engine breaking down a hill. then the check engine light came on and it brought up code 33 and 24? the idle just went shocking and went into safe mode (couldnt rev over 4500).

turned out the idiot that previously owned my car had just cut the defender out of the car after i put a deposit on it, without connecting the wire back up. look down near your ecu. under your front passenger carpet and look for a green wire with a black strip on in and make sure its not burnt out or cut.

another thing you can try is reseting your ECU. disconnect your negative battery terminal and pump you brakes a few times and then leave disconnected over night. just a thought hope this might help?
