Went for what may have been her last road trip...Huge 450km trip with "Dimin" and "Goatheader" off here.
Met up with "scotty1" who delivered me some rims from welly for the surf.
Started off in Hamilton headed south via Collins Rd, O'Regans rd, te awamutu, Waikeria, lake arapuni, old taupo rd, Whakamaru, Taupo, Rotorua, Pyes Pa Rd, Tauranga.
Epic day and car went real well, good weather as well.

All sorted will see you Sunday scotty.
Cheers

Its getting much much worse as well.
Im only 20 and when we were 14 just shortend the words like you said ODB.
Looking at my 15 year old brothers FB page and i cant even make sense of half this shit they write it doesnt even resemble the word its meant to be.

Awesome so the man is still lurking about..Good stuff.

I tmight not have a twin scroll housing on it though??

"Manifold is to suit SR20"
So its un likely to bolt on.
Im pretty sure hks did a TS Entry turbo - it wasn't true twin scroll but it did bolt on.
Of course the wise thing to do would be to copy Nt a foz's setup... and not be looking for turbos on trademe.
I was going to point out the bit about SR20 but thought that was a bit obvious for everyone ...well except for maybe him of course...
I "think" RIPEVO has a TS Entry turbo from memory but not 100percent sure on that one, but as you say not a "true" twin scroll.
As Qwerty said Spec C you dont need bigger turbo, iv made 241kw with factory V8 Sti VF37, Injectors with a few simple mods and its plenty more that i bet you could handle anyway.
-
if it doesnt say then how the fuck will any of us know if its got a twin scroll housing on it :
ask the guy to see a pic of the exhaust housing from underneath and the back and side then should be able to see if it is or not.

Here we go again, another thread of smack talking.....

OP dont put crappy 15 year old 250T suspension in it.
Get either legacy bilsteins and change the rear top hats , or v7 & v8 sti suspension.
Very stiff and handles heaps better than factory forester suspension.
In saying that im not sure what the top hats are in SG9 iv only had dealings wtih SF5..
-
Yeah OP your story definatly aint the most depressing around here haha there been a few members who have spent BIG BIG dollers lately building track cars, only to have motor go bang, or other things to crap out causing major problems/wrecked bits.
Sucks for you none the less i know the feeling of shit breaking trust me lol
-
Hmmm that could be a goer...
Acutallyyy i MAY be passing through Taupo on sunday with some mates....Will i fit 5 15s in the subi...Hmm probably.
Il check what the plan is for sat and get back to you man.

Yeah clint had buckshots on his weekend rims as well and we took them 4wding seemed to be decent.
Basically want a tyre thats not some shitty arse road tyre (those 4wd size tyres that look like a road tread/pattern) lol ..But will have some grunt behind them if needed. Dont want to spend 60000000 dollars a tyre either lol.
Have heard that the Mud tyres wear down really fast if used on the road so might stay away from that.
-
Anyone from Welly or nearby heading up to Hamilton/Tauranga/Auckland area in the next month or so??
Potentially would have space for 5x 15 inch rims?? No tyres...
Dont need them right away but before xmas would be ideal.
-
pretty much any of the 15" 6 stud rims fit I run AT's all the time and then chain it if i need more grip
my Landcruiser runs 16" alloys and 235/75 16's Goodyear ATR's but I will run Cooper Discoverers AT at next time
You like those tyres??
Any recommendations on the tyres wanting something with some decent meat suitable for the odd off road excursion but will mostly be used for the road.
-
So a -19 offset shouldnt be aproblem ?? even if i was running 33" tyres??
-
Yeah needs new tyres so going to get some all purpose sort of ones instead of straight mud.
Keen for 33's just doing a bit of research if to they fit sweet as etc..
Going to get some 4x4 rims such as desert rats or similar at same time, nice powder coated set on TM hence the offset ?? lol
-
Dont you run platniums or iridiums in your sti funky??
They are up their in price also..
Suppose H6 has 6 as opposed to 4 ...
If you not paying retail they are MUCH cheaper lol
-
Any of you owned surfs before and know if this offset/size rim will fit my surF??
Got a 1993 LN130 with the torsion front end.
Will a 15 x8 with -19 offset work or not be what im after??
-
See hes on page 3 of this weekends waikato times..
-
Oh and applied my for sale sticker

But why? You've hardly had the car a long time, and done so much work to it!
Yes and no had it for 2 and a half years, definatly done a lot of work on it haha.
We shall see not giving it away only will give up for the right money.
Wanting to get other bits and pieces.
-
