Do you know the compression ratio of the engine? This is actually useful stuff for my project. A 1 litre turbo engine! Perfect!
-
Mega old bump. But no CEL at all?
-
Curious about the Charade. What RPM does the turbo decide to go full noise?
-
Hmmm. I just remembered. Already booked.
-

It\'s nothing special to look at really. Apart from the "EJ22" stamp it looks like a completely factory Subaru engine configuration. The only visible "performance" mod I\'ve done is bypass the coolant line through the throttle body.
-
Well done man, you\'re getting the hang of this whole meet business. Next up, pizza night!
-
Pity. I completely forgot. But then again I was vomiting like it was going out of fashion that morning anyway.
-
I\'m keen to see how my hybrid does before it goes turbocharged.
-
Dyno day after winter...
-
Last time I went to one of these, It ended badly.
Yeah what the hell, I\'ll try to make it to this one.

Sims are probably the best brake and clutch place in the region.

As I have learnt, it is best to just set a time and a date and be done with it. It is easier and less stressful than faffing about trying to get a date AND time and suited the majority every week.
Location is also very important.
Tuesdays and thursdays are decent meet nights where I am now (just a suggestion) but in Otago obviously avoid town cruises on thursdays unless you like having drunk students around your car...
Another suggestion would be dinner cruises. We do a meet every week here (alternating Tuesday Thursday) and the half way point of every cruise is a pub/fast food/fish and chips for a feed and some more of the social side of things. (Admittably Dunedin is somewhat lacking in that area depending on where you go I guess).
Sorry for jumping in the thread whilst not being in Otago any more but meh, suggestions all round, it\'s only the poll that counts I guess.
Thursday usually works out to be one of the better days.

who needs work done? lol
Sounds like fun.

Fucks sake.
EVERY FRIDAY.
7PM.
OUTSIDE SUPERCHEAP.
That\'s how shit rolled when I was rep.

Alright then. The V1/2 HX20 Impreza manual...how many plugs did the ECU have?
Google sucks.
-
I think it\'s the same thing.
TBH, I could sneak past a WOF without a cert with my TS...possibly.
-
Right now I don\'t think certification is a priority...
-
Okay. Right now my TS is electrically a 3 plug N/A car. 3 pin TPS, 4 pin MAF, wasted spark, etc. For my project I want to use the bulkhead harness in the engine bay and the bulkhead harness in the cabin and the engine harness from a 4 plug WRX wiring but retain the dash, rear harness and front engine bay harness from the TS. I\'ll add pictures of the harnesses I wish to replace.
This one...
and this one
The question is, how compatible are they going to be with the dash, front engine bay and rear harnesses from the Legacy?
PS, I know I\'m an idiot and/or a fool for still undertaking this and I know it will be probably less hassle to get a WRX/BC5/single conversion/3 plug turbo so on and so forth. But I have an ECU with a chip that has "Group N" written on it and I\'ll be damned if I don\'t get to try it out.
TL;DR converting a 3 plug N/A Legacy into a 4 plug single turbo by replacing cabin/engine bay bulkhead harness and engine harness.

Yep.

Wait a second. You couldn\'t break into your own Subaru!?

I'm blown away that people post here about meets.
Not what this place was 4-5 years ago.

haha, was the stuff you did at meets 4-5 years ago not something you wanted to anounce to the public due to legal reasons?
Shit no. Just amazed that there are active members still doing them. I remember hearing of a huge exodus of Dunedin crew heading North for greener pastures. Then silence.

Have they got a name?
-
...a custom made exhaust manifold?
I'm not after anything awesome and fancy looking either. Just want good workmanship on the welds, bends and overall fitment of the end product.
