Can de-cap stocks to flow around 850ish cc but not the most ideal spray pattern etc

(might need to move the alternator to get to all the bolts?)
Lifting the inlet mani makes things so much easier, just undoing the 8 bolts securing it to the block alone gives maybe an inch of leeway - and as my ex said another inch would make ALL THE DIFFERENCE MARK
Lel
This, don't need to remove alternator bolts from memory, when I did mine I just un bolted the mani and lifted it up gives you just enough room to shove the ****er in there. Still a ***** of a job though, grazed more than a few knuckles shoving it in there and getting all the pcv lines, bov recirculation etc back on the silicone one with the manifold on there is no fun either Would definetely reccomend just removing the mani, unbolt, undo fuel lines, unplug harness and remove pcv lines etc then should just pull up... if my memory serves me correctly.

There should be a rod behind the pedal you can adjust wind it out until it stops falling to the floor, was happening to me when I was bleeding my clutch after swapping gearbox etc.. Worth a try anyway.
-
If that is your gasket then you have a twin-scroll turbo and I am guessing you purchased a single scroll downpipe. Who did you buy it off/told you it would fit? Others will be able to shed some light as to the exact turbo you have.

Speedometer also increases as rpms increase when it is slipping, leads me to believe its gearbox related? Guess ill never know till i pull it out ahh.

Haha yeah i am aware i mean its more whiney than usual, clutch fluid is fine, so is the clutch fork will check the gbox fluid.
-
It was only first and second to begin with when i drove it today it was also doing it in third. But when when it comes back all gears are fine. Should have mentioned when it does happen reverse sounds a little more whiney too.
-
So this started happening last week and I am not exactly sure whats going on so would like to narrow it down before i do anything. Was driving along fine then get to a light and stop. Start to go again so letting out the clutch and i hear like a clunk noise all of a sudden i have engagement issues with the clutch, what i mean by this is it feels like a slipping clutch, but right from low rpms and even with like no power input so try second, same thing. Change into third and then it just comes back to normal i.e holding sweet right throughout the rev range, (wot). So i didnt really worry about it but now it keeps on happening, most of the time when the car is cold. I was thinking maybe the pressure plate cracked or something and that is what the clunk was? Only seems to happen from a stop or if I go over like a speed bump or something? I dunno any insight would be appreciated! Cheers

Ive got a n/a coil pack with adaptor you could borrow. Leads as well if you want to triple check. Wiring issue id say. How did plugs look?
Plugs looked fine, no white or black just nice brown all the way round. Are the n/a ones the same? Have a mate down here with a v5 so might see if i can borrow his one but cheers dude. Was thinking wiring issue as well but i literally haven't touched any wiring except the injector plug wires and they are running fine. When doing a spark test today using pc link spark looked really weak tbh.

Car has started throwing a fit massive misfire issues tried re-gapping my plugs twice, changed ignition leads added more grounding points. Sigh.. will be trying a coil pack tomorrow if that doesn't help don't know what to do, pissing me off!

Sweet cheers man

Do V5/6 coil packs need to be grounded themselves..? I.e are they grounded through the bolts that connect them to the manifold?
-
Got mine from Winger last time, $25ish a can pretty sure

Sweet will do. Had a chat to subaru and they only sell the top o ring seals with a new injector wtf... sure somewhere will have them just want to get the car back on the road!
-
Anyone know where I can buy a set of o-rings for top feed pinks? Was looking at those o-ring sets on trademe but dont know what kind of quality they are or if the right size would even be in there.. Just went to prime the car and pissed fuel everywhere out of the top seal ahh

Huh weird! But good also! Cant remember but is yours nz new Clint?

Did any V5/6 wrx's come out stock with MLS head gaskets? Just noticed that I have them but was under the impression that my heads had never been off..

May have overfilled oil slightly last time I changed, have whitish smoke poofing out air filter after coming off throttle after wot pull, will only happen really at full boost. Also have just noticed that leaving it at idle i will get a little white smoke. Cbf pulling turbo off just to find that its sweet so does an overfill sound plausible? Ie to much oil in sump will lead to oil getting into crankcase being pushed out on gear change and being sucked into intake manifold while idling through the pcv? will check in the morning anyway. Just hoping its not the snail.
