I ended up with a 1:23.4 with 200hp or less since I couldn't run more than wastegate pressure haha. Reasonably happy for my first time at manfeild.

Could probably update fastfour to a 1:11.8 at HD, and 1:39.66 at taupo track 1 @ nzsuperlap series as well.
And yeah the lack of spaces is hard to read haha.

Can I get the time for my sti on taupo track 1 updated to 1:48.9 thx.
Also taupo track 1 98 mx5 turbo 1:47.6 (NZ superlap series) and hampton downs 1:49.2

That's a pretty sweeping blanket statement that might get someone in trouble. My nexen sur4g have incredible grip, street legal 200tw tire that the rx7 Pro series use as a control tire and rate as fast as an r888, toyo....AFAIK Nexen tyres shouldn't have high levels of grip
Make sure that your brake fluid is fresh (less than 1 year old) as well
Clubsub seem quite elitist on the Chinese tire hate

This is why I sold my sti and bought an mx5 when I wanted to get more serious about track work. So much cheaper if I break anything which is likely to happen on track. I bought my first mx5 track car for the same price as the rebuild after I nuked my ver6 at Taupo.

New tyres and race pads for the mx5. 225/45R15 Nexen Sur4g and Hawk Blue pads. Mostly ready for round 2 of the NZ superlap series in 2 weeks.

I once had this poor imitation park next to my sti.
Its pretty common for mx5 owners to park together, but probably because they are such a common car.

Probably, although the mx5 is a stock internal engine, turbocharged with twice the factory hp whereas the STI was bone stock everything. But yeah completely different engines so not really compatible, was more just the irony of the one i spent money on good oil/OEM filters etc was the one that blew up.

The only engine ive nuked is also the only engine that ive run on synthetic oil
, my STI. My 3 tracked mx5s all run generic castrol mineral oil without issue so far at least. Mechanic just said change it regularly and itll be fine, so i just put fresh stuff in every 2 or 3 events.

Sold my Subaru
good buy sweet legacy 3.0r prince, how i will miss your lovely engine note. Untill I replace it with a wago in a few months that is.
I also replaced the suspension in my suby turbo'd mx5 with adjustable coilovers, sits much better now and should handle significantly better than the stock bilsteins. Keen to get it back on track

I have a superlap event in Taupo on the 7/8th April but if its later in the month could be keen to come along again. Megameet was pretty fun this year. Assuming im allowed back in my non subaru.

Went to 4 and rotary jambo on the weekend for round 3 of superlap.
This wasnt very productive in getting good laptimes.
