  1. I thought mine didnt have a low fuel light it since ive had it on the empty line a few times with no light. I found out it does have one however after coming back from the coromandal, and that its also hidden from my eye line by the gauge pod on the steering wheel thing...Was a bit scary seeing it on and havign no idea how long the light has been on for.. Filled up 53L, anyone know how big the GC8 sti tanks are? v6?

  2. Yeah, im pretty sure thats what helped cause it/why i keep cracking rotors too. Though I bough the pagid yellows which seemed to help last time, and now have semi slicks for next trackday in april, so might pull the abs plug out and try that as well.

Yeha I was doing warmup/down laps not using the brakes and rotating the wheels while parked up with handbrake off. The pad to the bottom had even less meat on it, like 1mm or less.

*the pad in the middle is just an oem style pad for comparison*

  3. I think mine just had clips on the side you pull to the side them it pulls out. I remember it being rather difficult to get off though. Ill take it off and grab a pic if you still need to see it.

  4. Theres a few 3g gps trackers on ebay/aliexpress that have tons of positive reviews for ~$50. I keep meaning to get one but forget. Has realtime tracking as well for just the cost of keeping the sim card topped up. Can do the txt for gps as well, but as far as im aware the data cost is **** all.

the development of V5/V6 ESL board is still in progress and due to be released Early Next year.

this option is a better(cheaper) than Ecu tek.

We(SSM) are also Official Distributors for ESL Daughterboards in NZ.

Would def be keen on this if i dont find a cheap linkPFC beforehand.

  6. Bought a headunit for it since the pioneer that was in it is a bit old and scratched up. Bluetooth calling is nice, but its actually slower to read/start playing music off my ipod than my old one. WOnder if tis to do with just using USB on this one, and a proper designed for ipod cable/port thing on the old one.

Really need to get a proper gauge hood.

Good to hear! At least Marc had the professionalism of doing everything right and even checking your AFRs. I bet you would have saved $1000 easily! Which is a tune!

Im pretty sure hes quite sick of seeing my car now, but yeah very happy with it. Its in at the panelbeaters now getting the rear end damage pulled out and straightened up and my bootlid painted. never ending money expenditure it seems.
