watch speedo. No more than 40 over limit, massive fine no doubts but still keep license.
-
Yeah the first turb does its thing and then the VOD comes in but the full boost on first and second seems very light until third gear.
Might have to get a boost gauge and see. What are other Auto GT owners getting?
Primary 12 - 13psi Secondary 15 - 16 psi
I bought a zerosports seq controller which made all the difference, basically twin turbo seems broken without it.
GT is entry level, fun for a while and quite reliable.... but you need more.
I'm selling my house and with re-finance, upgrading subie, yeaah 8)

Yea ive always had AA checks done, sure they dont always find everything but they give you a somewhat good overview of the vehicle so you take it with a pinch of salt, either that or take it to a VTNZ which are known for being pretty strict so yea.
Whats with your irritating sig??
The colours are such a p*ss off

hmm, um.. suspension that is adjustable? *out on a limb ere*

2nd gear over 5K should be pulling. Def more than 3rd at lower rpm and if your'e round 5K in third gear then you're well over 140kmph.

*waits for chickinsteelcaps*
thats kinda hot

Shhure, you gotta want to

for what its worth, and I do this week in week out, $85ish fulls tank does 490 - 520 kms per week. Pretty much mway driving, no lack of accel when bored and usual cruising speed of 110kmph. Plenty idlling in traffic
-
So how much do you save running 98 vs 95, im guessing maybe $2 tops per tank.
-
yea my mech said around 3 hours and while he's there gonna do other stuff like gaskets and sh*t

Sounds familiar, bar the temp gauge fiddling around. My 20G-powered Legacy loves to froth with a bit of throttle too, but refuses to budge on the temp gauge. She consumes water too.
Is that burning money I smell? :-X
Has it done it since, swiftbrad?
Think I was a lil panicky on the frothing thing, hasnt over heated since but seems to lose about 250ml of water in 2 days, so just keeping eye on water level until I get time to get it sorted. Its such a small loss that I havnt noticed anything on driveway etc I guess. Not sure but I'd say if it was head gasket issues it would have reared its ugly head by now. I do 100kms a day so have done heaps since first post.

heyas,
Traffic was chaos after work, ages spent idling at lights before moving a few metres. Noticed temp guage was reading slightly over half way when it always reads slightly under half way. It didnt get any hotter and when we were finally moving again it dropped back to normal.
Waited a few hours for it to cool down and it took 1.5L to fill it back up, cant really be a good sign.
Question being, with rad cap off and applying gentle throttle, after taking foot off gas the water gentle overflows the rad but is quite frothy on top, lol. Is that normal?
Dipstick oil doesnt look milky but the water has clearly gone somewhere and havnt noticed any leaks on driveway etc.
cheers

Some mods are all good, but (and it's just personal preference here) i'd stay away from anything with a monster (or for that matter, any) aftermarket tacho.
Same goes for an external wastegate or aftermarket BOV...
Stickers on it that contain any of these words: Chosen, Klan, DVS etc...
There really is no reason for these except having too many pimples and wanting to attract 15 y/o girls...
wheeee! ;D

if you could call it that at a stretch I guess, as mentioned prob only good for stock like applications.
