  1. Cheers for the replies guys, bought some CRC Penetr8 today (worked a treat on diff cradle bolts which were stuck also) I soaked it then tried whacking it with a sledge hammer but it didn\'t budge at all.

The new problem, I am trying to remove the hub and cv together now but I can\'t figure out how to get the handbrake cable out.

  2. Hey guys, I\'m stuck.

I\'m removing the rear axles from my car and I\'ve managed to get both ends out of the diff but one is stuck in the hub.

I\'ve tried soaking it in WD40 and hitting it with a hammer but it\'s not moving. I have not hit it very hard because I read somewhere that you can mushroom the end.

I don\'t want to damage it because I plan on selling it.

Is there any tricks to getting it out?

  3. I put it in today and it\'s not working properly. It just revs to a bit over 2k and cuts the ignition slowly no matter what I change rev 1, rev 2 or gain too.

I used two 1a 1kv diodes and spliced into ignition 1&2 and ignition 3&4.

With Rev 1/1 and Gain set to 0 it drives normal but when I turn the bee r on. Say put rev 1 to 4k and gain to 1 the car idle changes and it feels like it\'s going to stall.

    Heres a vid

  4. Hi guys, I want to install a Bee R because they\'re getting real cheap. I have read on the forum that it is more of a hassle then it\'s worth to install into a Subaru.

I haven\'t done anything like this before so I\'m pretty clueless.

From what I have found is that Subaru have more than ignitor one wire and you need to join them together with diodes attached to the Bee R unit.

    Anyone have first hand experience?

  5. Hey fellas I\'ve signed up to this forum for some help.

I have a 1996 Subaru WRX STI RA Version III that has a coolant leak. There is a noticeble puddle under the car after a drive.

The problem is I cannot find the source of the leak. When looking under the car there is coolant dripping from rear of the engine. It looks like its coming out of the steering rack near the jack plate (which I know isn\'t the case). I\'ve been under the car with it on axle stands and had a look but there too many things in the way to see anything.

I\'ve had a look around the throttle body and the heater hoses that go into the firewall and there are no leaks there. Couldn\'t trace the hoses back into the engine.

I recently replaced the thermostat and coolant so the coolant because I noticed that the bottom hose stayed cold. The coolant that is leaking looks new and not mixed with oil, It\'s still the same colour as I put in. Which is why I don\'t think its the head gasket.

From the research I\'ve done about this I\'ve been taken to Subaru Outback forums and most of them say that it is a external head gasket leak. I hope this isn\'t the case.

Does anyone have experience with this sort of leak?

If it helps the car has done 175000km and is still on the original motor.

    Thank you very much,
