Hey all, i have a 97 impreza with a ej20k, i was wondering what people have found to be the best they have used?
-
i dont think its an sti engine, the car is just an impreza not a wrx. ive got someone with a wrx that has a ej207 in it that is blown and wants to buy my ej205. wanting to know if it'll work in his car
-
Its out of a 2002 impreza and long block and has avcs. the coilpack on the ej207 has the coil on plugs
-
And what would that be?
-
Hey all, does anyone know if a ej205 will go straight into the place where a ej207 was?
-
Its in a 2002 impreza
-
Does anyone know what the standard turbo is on a ej205?
-
that\'s pretty sweet, using all subi rear end parts just welded diff
-
Yea that\'s true, the car i have got atm is Justin roods old drift missle subi, it lasted the thrashing from him so i guess it\'ll last me too.
-
Yea i heard about him doing it, i wanna do it as well. but make sure that the car is setup properly
-
Yea ive heard a few people have had troubles with cv\'s popping out. Sounds like a good idea to brace it up. I\'m planning to put the car into pro-ams in a couple of season. I just wanna do a subi cause its never been properly done
I see why you want to do it cause i\'ve been there lol
You can build a rwd subaru cheaper than buying a nissan and end of the day it\'s faster for less money.
They handle just like a rwd does, i never had issues with the diff or cv\'s personally but know of people that have a lot of trouble.
Appears the diff bushes get loose and the slop in the diff is hard on them. Replacement of the bushes or just bracing the diff to the subframe would be a good way to prolong the life of them.
Also your driving style will be what helps it too. Go faster so you don\'t need to clutch kick so often since you\'ll be carrying the speed

Does anyone have any good info/knowledge on whats the best way to make the rear end more stable to with stand a fair bit of power and thrashing that\'ll stop the axles from snapping and popping cv\'s?
