  1. Pretty keen on some 5x114.3 wheels for my 04 Forester which has 5x100 hubs.. Obvious solution is 5x100-5x114.3 adapters (about $75 each and require a cert technically). Is it possible to just change your hubs? I am looking a new wheel bearings anyway so it seemed like it might be an easy option... Cheers, Tim
  2. Where is the best place to source SPT parts from in NZ? Also, out of interest, how does SPT fit into the picture as 'OEM parts' with STI, Genome etc?
  3. I swapped back to the stock bar today. Interestingly, the whiteline bar was about 1.5in narrower.
  4. Yep I'll go back to the stock sway bar until I figure out which one I need to get. Interestingly this is on Trademe: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/suspension/auction-1550258779.htm?rsqid=61de7a3f678c40b2af091ddbcf434c39 This matches what mine looks like (including the yellow bushes vs the black ones on the forester specific BSR35XZ). On the auction it says it should fit an SG forester, but when you go on the whiteline website it says it's for a WRX... I have the stock Forester STI lower arms. Are these the same as the stock XT lower arms?
  5. I got the sway bar from @Scoobydoo. I think it is this one (looking at the shape of it): http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=BSR36Z&sq=28704 I am running WRX STI Genome struts and springs but maybe the sway bar isn't wide enough...
  6. UPDATE: Did some more GoPro detective work. This is turning left into a driveway over a 'dip'. The RHS end link seems to clunk out of alignment and the LHS wheel lifts off the ground. Any ideas on what's wrong?
  7. So I replaced the stock sway bar in my Forester STI with a 22mm Whiteline one... After that I heard a loud clunking when I was taking a sharp corner. After some GoPro investigation... I found that the sway bar was sliding laterally. I made some collars to fit to the bar inside of the mounts, which seems to have largely stopped the sliding. But now I am getting a loud banging noise when I turn into driveways when the left wheel wants to be dangling in the air (possibly only when turning left into driveways). I jacked the car up and when the suspension is fully drooping, the end links look like this: And when I compress the RHS with a jack, the RHS end link looks like this... (looks a bit bent too) The other theory I have is that the sway bar might be hitting the fuel filler pipe. The banging seems to come from both sides of the car. Help!
  8. Royal Oak but can pick up from anywhere. I have a mate going down to Tauranga this weekend for the Ironman - he said he might be able to grab them on the Sunday if that suits you?
  9. I’ve bought some suspension for the Foz from @Scoobydoo who is going to drop it with @Andy_Mac in Tauranga who has kindly offered to store it for a while. Is there anyone who is making a trip up to Auckland from Tauranga in the next couple of weeks who could bring them up? Cheers
  10. I’m looking for some brand new Work Emotion XD9s, preferably bronze. 5x100 18x10ish. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a set? Work have discontinued them.
  11. Hey mate, yea I was the guy who texted. Thanks for the info - let me know if you do end up selling them separately. I’ll definitely be keen for a set. Cheers
  12. So I've seen a few guys running WRX suspension in their foresters to get them a bit lower. It seems to be a good alternative to coilovers for me: Doesn't require a cert Keeps things 'OEM' Cheaper than coilovers I dont plan to track the car so I'm not interested in 1000 degrees of adjustability. The other option ive seen is using 'pink springs' but i havent been able to track any of these down. What would you guys recommend with this, and where can I get my hand on some? I have a 2004 FSTI.
  13. I've tried using an ELM327 (both Bluetooth and WiFi), with a variety of apps - iOBD2 and FourStroke. I can get them to connect up but non of the data seems to be 'supported'. Will look into a tactrix cheers.
  14. I've tried several OBD2 adapters (both bluetooth and WiFi) but can't get my iPhone to pull any engine data. Has anyone got one of these adapters working with an 04 Forester STI? Cheers
