tractor has forks or a bucket you can dig in.

Fert spreader truck. When they let go you're just a passenger.

That's ridiculous, digging in the bucket would be just asking for trouble. Best case, keep it as straight as possible and ride it out.

Perhaps if you had a grader on the back you could dig that in but there's no way when your in a slide down a steep hill you would dig a bucket in. It would likely just break the shear pins anyways. Maybe if you just used the bottom of the bucket to create some friction but if it catches on anything then you very likely gonna be worse off.

  2. V7 headers, 3" custom downpipe and midpipe with a Ganador Titan muffler. Unfortunately unless you are willing to pay $$ for shipping im in wellington/palmerston north with the stock system.

  3. Driving a new car is like driving on a floating platform, you don't get any feedback and it can be harder to judge the limits.

Thankful that I grew up on a farm (grandfather taught me to drive) and had cars from the 80s for the first few years of having my license. Having a hefty background in motorbikes and tractors kind of helped. Anyone ever done a 4 wheel slide in a tractor on wet grass down a steep asf hill? That **** is scary.

Thanks Ross, the reason I had asked was because I had seen it on your ST thread. But if I was keeping my BE5B manifold for my ST then I won't need the V7 one aye...

No you won't. What you will need is a new header to turbo water line because of the different turbo.

Two quick dumb questions- what is a reasonable (read not through the roof price) rear pad for BE TT Legacy and secondly if changing to ST do I need to change header tank to V7 or is factory BE one fine? Chur :)

As far as I'm aware the BE header tank is exactly the same as a V5/6 STI header tank.

  6. Thanks encyclopedia ross. Once again a wealth of knowledge.

Hmm I've changed the turbo, I'm actually going to be running a TD05 16G which makes things a little interesting. I believe that the water return is in a similar position but the oil line might foul on the wastegate actuator. I wish I could have the car and all my bits on hand. Would make acquiring parts way easier.
