Yes it was all fine. 6 months ago when it was running. Not its a strong 1.5

Hi there my v7 is popping/backfiring at idle. It more sounds like a miss. But runs extremely well when driving. Idle rpm stays at 1.5-1.8k. And idles quite smoothly. The pop sound is definitely coming from exhaust side. Have replaced IACV and gasket. Car hasnt been started in 6 months, however now it is on low boost tune atm. Because of this issue.
Any one else experienced this before?

Just tryed to start my v7 sti after about 5months of building it. Its cranking and sorta running on like 1or2 cylinders but not fully firing up.
All ive put in that could relate to this are:
Hks 660 injectors
Tomei fpr
Deatchwerks pump
GFB ebc
New heat 7 spark plugs
3 guages.
Any help please my tune date is coming up...!

Ohk thankyou im just waiting on a reply from him.. man all along I thought that these were allgood just for a road tune. You learn something new everyday
-
Oh true? I will try hit him up and see where he got his tuned. Can I just adjust the fpr to the injectors specified pressure and itl be fine? I havnt driven the car yet. But just waiting on a few things then tune

Ohk so ive just been told by St Hi Tech that they cannot do an ecu reflash for me, with the the mods I have. Which are:
Master power 545r
Hks 660 injectors
Tomei fpr
Deatchwerks pump
GFB ebc
Full custom twisted exhaust manifold
Fmic
Tial gate
Tial bov
Do I actually need an aftermarket ecu for this?? Because my wallet tells me I dont...
help/advice/knowledge appreciated!!
-
Should I possibly consider him over a dyno tune then? More bang for buck?
-
What about the guy who's famous for his impreza road tunes? Raijin performance or something? Cant quite remember but I know hes been mentioned quite afew times..

Ohk so im feeling abit dumb at the moment, but im in way too deep to back out. I am fairly new to subaru and went and bought a stock v7 sti. After a while I decided it wasnt fast enough/lost its puff, and being a fabricator thought that it would be sweet makeing all of the exhaust system aswell. however now that im nearing a tuning date. Im beginning to wonder 'was it all worth it?'. With a power figure of 250kw atw in mind, have I just gone and wasted money on stuff that was not necessary?
My power mods are as follows:
Master power 545r
Tial 38mm
Tial bov
HKS 660cc injectors
Custom sch10 exhaust manifold
Custom 2.5" uppipe
Custom 3" exhaust
Tomei Type S fpr
Deatchwerks pump
GFB gforce 2 ebc
Fmic
Thats what I can think of off the top of my head. Some advie and/or criticism would be appreciated!
