Definitely oil temp!!! Lets you no when you can actually boost it.
-
Are they just standard?
-
Was $270, a 40mm core.
That's the same one as the one I picked up from them.
Went in for a silicon joiner and came out with an alloy radiator.. oh and the joiner.
Fit almost perfectly, fans bolted on etc.
I got one with a filler cap on it because i'm ditching my header tank soon.
-
I have a spare factory radiator, I put an alloy one in in the last week. Was one of the ones from A1 radiators.

I liked my car alot when it was sequential, then parallel and now 2.5l single.
-
I used a K&N on mine ages ago for about a year was perfectly fine until I cleaned and reoiled, then it killed two afms. So in my mind k&n are throw away after they get dirty lol.
-
When I ran twin turbo I initially ran sequential for a few years with sequential controller, full exhaust etc..
then changed to parallel using a single turbo setup with v5 sti ecu, aftermarket parallel headers and vf26/27, which would have run very well, if it wasn't for a pinched fuel line leaking fuel, and leaning out the cylinders on one side. (caused det, and blew the oil ring lands, and after removing one of the pistons, it broke in half ;D).
I did get a brief run with it going properly and I liked it alot!! This was after I fixed the fueling issue, but the damaged was already done.
I would still be running parallel to this day i reckon if the engine didn't blow up, as parallel is essentially single turbo power band, but with two turbos.
^^^
That's the proper way to do parallel. (minus the pinched line)
I now run single turbo 2.5L ;D. Which is about to get some upgrades...

Hopefully the 09 model will get cheaper because everyone will be updowngrading to the latest model.
Then I can have an 09 faster...

you can always try the likes of the japan brands eg: Tein, HKS, RS*R
I had a set of RS*r ones i got off trademe, was low, ride stay the same, and the springs always remain captive.
Oh and only springs for a BE/BH legacy will fit!!!! as the rear suspension is completely different.
AS for your locks. Just go to wreckers and get some rear door handles and put them on in replacment of your front. (they are the same handles)
/quote] BH is the wagon version of a B4 so any rear shocks that were on a BH WILL NOT FIT. Some trade me sellers will try to sell you there shocks off their BH wagon and say they will fit B4 as they are the same year, DONT FALL FOR IT, the rears wont fit.
Are you sure? I brought a set of adjustables off a BH and they fitted perfect to my BE
What differences are there between the shocks?
I'd like to know your sources sylus?
I have also fitted BE shocks to my BH without a problem.
They appear identical to me, there may possibly be a slightly different spring rate on the rears but thats just a maybe.

I had my 99 gtb running in parallel with factory vf26/27 turbos, aftermarket headers that I had lying around to try out, v5 sti ecu, 2.5" TBE.
Spooled roughly 3500 - 4000rpm. Had exhaust leaks so this wouldn't have helped.
Couldn't run over 12psi because I had a fueling issues and detonation but that was faulty fuel line.
Driveability of a single turbo. I did like it and appeared to be similar power as before but different power delivery which was nice for a change.
-
I ran one at 170ks after doing an oil change and changing turbos, I thrashed it when I thought it was warm enough to test out the turbos to see if the problem I had was fixed.
Next engine wasn't beb but now have a piston with a crack and another in two pieces.
Now decided to do it right and have a brand new 2006 ej257 in there. ;D
-
Your kit is the Prova kit. Front, sides, rear, wing and grill is all Prova.
-
The prova b4 is parallel twin turbo, but not the little turbos found on most TTs ;D
Yea clearing brembos rules out alot of rims. I got some that I like and also clear though.
-
I use Valvoline Synguard 10w 50 approx $75, fully synthetic plus genuine subaru oil filter.
-
NO... but I did it anyways lol... bumper bonnet guard and grill are very slightly different. Also haven't bothered to sort out the angle adjustment feature yet, as it didn't work.
Oh forgot to mention about the bashing of metal behind where the headlight is ment to sit lol.
-
For single turbo or parallel twin turbo...
The ecu wiring requires a few wires to be swapped around and the variable fuel pump control needs to be rewired.
This will allow a v5 / v6 sti ecu to be plugged straight in.
-
There was no option for full atmo, 50:50 and plumback?
Lol mine is in cabin adjustable so I'll just turn my dial and problem solved.
-
Probably the most recent pic of my car that I have..

I have used the super cheap kit, works well. The throttle actuator is out of my car atm as I haven't bothered putting it back in the engine bay after modifying a few things.
Paid 270 2-3 years ago, plus needed a reed switch for the clutch as my car is a manual, so the system disengages when the clutch is pressed.
