  1. I’d be mildly concerned that this model needs to exist though. Same part number as the one you’re getting but with an A slapped on the end.
I know they had steering knuckle clearance issues with US designed Invidia (plus others) DP’s on RHD 4th gen Legacy’s so might find a similar issue with this one unless you’ve done the research and found some other RHD ones running the one you’re getting.

I just made a post in the Australian 2015+ WRX/STi owners group and got this response. I should’ve checked first - Guess I got lucky. If any other VA chassis owners are curious here’s your answer.

  2. Yea dyno inconsistancy is definately a real thing but is still more accurate than chucking a random percentage at a wheel figure and saying thats what the crank makes, then you open up the argument of whether it should be a percentage or a set power loss which would stay the same at higher power levels.

Always thought that might be an issue, if that’s the case I’ll get the downpipe modified, just didn’t wanna have my car off the road otherwise I would’ve had a custom one made

It’s just a number on paper anyway, there’s weight and drag as well, I did a pull race in my stock STi which is meant to be 225kw crank vs a built and tuned 400kw at the wheel JZX90 and I had him off the mark from a 60 roll, he caught up. But I had that moment of “I’m winning”

  4. Finally got around to working on the front lip today. First time doing fibreglass work. Fixed up the crack with plastic weld glue and then added extra strength with the fibre glass

Next step was to add the STI Red strip to the STI lip. Used to be just black. Then added he hella red super tones. And finally goI the side skirts on!!

Damn that looks good, makes me wish I kept my 5th gen LGT. I swear it was quicker than my STi... might've just felt quicker cause it was auto.

  5.
i usually drive with windows closed when it's raining

is that lightbar even legal ?

    drl's are gay

I actually don't know if the lightbar is legal or not. It's on it's own switched relay and can be activated with the high beam also. I'm sure it would only be an issue if you were being a dick with it anyway

  6.

I have a similar setup with a DRL strip in the fog light bezel. I wired it up to the factory DRL harness to be legal. I also had some LEDs that replaced the factory DRL bulb in the harness (behind the actual fog light bulb) but had to disconnect these, also to be legal. If you have the new bezels wired to an accessory source then you will fail inspection, as any DRLs have to turn off automatically when the main headlights or fog lights are on. Also, you are only allowed one set of DRL lights, so if the additional fog light DRL bulbs and C light are also on when the LED strip on the bezels are on, this will also result in a fail. Just something to be aware of.

Your LED turn signal bulbs look good, I'm planing on buying some of the black smoked LED housings from Subispeed along with some puddle lights.

My car doesn't need a WOF for another 2 years but I'll just wire them up to the DRL harness if I own the car at that stage... Probably wouldn't pass WOF anyway cause it's got no mufflers at all... But I've been pulled over plenty of times and gone through cop stops multiple times (They tend to block the road up from the intersection the local group skids at) but they just wave me through... I've had them comment how nice it is and how the exhaust sounds good, not a single complaint. Might just be Hawkes Bay cops that are pretty relaxed. Should be fun if I were to travel out of town though

  7. Reckon the lights in the fogs make it a bit too busy.

How are the headlight 'C's' constructed? Heaps of little non removable bulbs or just a couple with reflectors? You'd be on to a winner with them brighter and colour matched to the lower strip.

In America the base model uses a T10 bulb that reflects throughout it. The limited gets a LED board, same as here and to modify it you've gotta resort to the oven method...

  8. That light bar isn't for night driving on the Bombay / Ramarama / Ararimu back-roads is it? (Looks like it would blind oncoming cars or those you're following)

Great light while parked, or to switch on for long, uneven driveways.

Mostly just bought it for show, it's not much brighter than my highbeam so probably won't even use it at night

No!  Look at the Car Crimes thread in the General Car Section

Ohhh I got ya, ruining a good car with too much extra crap. Yeah understandable. I thought the lightbar was pretty discrete since it's not stuck on my roof or anything mad hahaha
