  1. Ok anyone know why we have a restrictor on the secondary turbo?
  2. Looks like the real deal garrett to me but yea get j tune to measure the wheels and then youll know what it exactly is ;D
  3. So it isnt just me coz i swear it looses its rumble when the second turbo kicks in.
  4. Made me think coz looking at how it is set up it seems like it would be closer to equal length and if you adjust the exhaust valve flap the sound changes a bit and looses its rumble.......
  5. Do the twin turbo legacys become equal length once both turbos are kicked in?
  6. Im failry sure it should say what it is on the tag youll find on the core
  7. Did a few 3rd gear pulls today to see what the afr is using wide band, found out its running pretty rich 10.7:1 on boost even when secondary comes on.
  8. After adjusting it i took it for a drive and it felt like i hit a brick wall, rev fell to zero and then it started driving normal until i booted it and secondary kicked in and hello brick wall again.....when i put the actuator rod back to normal the brick wall symtom went away car doesnt have a boost gauge (just got car couple of days ago)
  9. Bov is still stock, car just has fujitsubo axle back exhaust system so still has both cats
  10. Its a 98 bg5 gtb an its not the wastegate actuator im talking about i was trying to adjust the exhaust valve actuator on the secondary turbo to try an reduce VOD.
  11. Tried to adjust the exhaust valve to reduce vod....made a difference but car started to overboost and hit boost cut. Now did i loosen it up too much or is there something else goin on? Tighten it back up and no more boost cutt but cars gone slower again
  12. After changing the rocker cover gaskit i forgot to hook up drivers side breather hose back onto the head, wil this cause the car to run extremely lean ???
  13. I see so running it in parallel has no real effect on the turbos life compared to running it in sequential..
  14. So the little bov thing needs boost pressure to stay shut right? So does that mean i can run any vacume hose with boost pressure to it? Also does running it in parallel prolong the life of the turbos at all?
  15. Do 98 model bg5 gtb\'s have similer sized turbos for both primary and secondary? Also do 98 model bg5 gtb\'s have larger turbos compared to bh5\'s?
  16. its a 98 bg5....does that make any difference compared to the earlier bg5\'s?
  17. The extra bov looking thing near the secondary turbo, i just blocked the vacume house coming off it.....em i ment to tee it to the bov or is it ok being blocked off?
  18. Mines a BG5 if that makes any difference
  19. I dont mind running it in parallel setup as long as its safe for the engine......i like having better fuel economy since its my daily work hack i actually converted it to parallel few hours ago but was worried about reliability issues..
  20. Is it true that running parallel setup can cause reliability issues since both turbos are of different sizes and can cause uneven cylinder pressure?? Dont know if its true or not, just something i read up online.
  21. I had a gt legacy back in the days and i removed the cat on it and it started to overboost like crazy when the secondary turbo came on........it went up to 22 plus psi, i hope the gtb is a bit different.
  22. Does removing the cat in 98 legacy gtb cause it to overboost?
  23. Yea bit more power and getting a bit of stalling issues with gt35r and stock ecu.....
  24. This g3 has its own link box so doesnt sit in the factory ecu box......just wondering if this changes its ability to run extending wiring from air temp sensor to ecu? Also its a 2004 model and came out September 2004 so dont know how that affects its ability to run on g4 firmware.
  25. Hey guys, do link g3s have an intake temp sensor like the g4 or not really??
