White Cabin Light - how to disable it?!

Hey team!
I have a 2008 GT Legacy - there's this White LED Ceiling Light that turns on whenever I get in the car or turn it off.
I don't know how to turn it off!!
The light also turns on when I approach the car with my keys, which is cool - but it'd be even cooler if there was a switch that can toggle it on and off that I don't know about, lol.
This could be something customised in Japan by the previous owner although I thought I'd holler at you guys incase you know what I'm talking about and just may have an answer.
