  3. Hey how many ltrs does the transfercase/gbox hold all up in a 93 legacy 5mt ive found a thread that says 3.5ltrs? is this correct. im geting CASTROL SYNTRAX 75W-90 for $21 a ltr
  4. plan was to dump heads. and i just scrapt the block in the end. thanks for the mature replys =) and seeing as soo many of these motors seem to have been overheated thort some of u would have seen this befor maybe that was the only reason i asked.
  5. the reason i asked is beacuse the bores dont show any bad signs other than the white mark isnt rough, no pitting no scratches and if wipt with a good cloth they come up mint. just thort some one mite have had this befor.
  6. I have a motor that was rebuilt not long agao it still has all the hone marks on the bores but it was over heated and the head gasket blew into the bottem water jackets, i think the funny white marks on the bores is from steam? i dnt knw. would this be fine with a new set of heads or should i pull the crank out and scrap the block?
  7. ok il swap looms hopefully were it plugs into the old body loom it will match up!
  8. ok ill try that! sounds alot easyer. ive got the pedals in and clutch setup and motors got flywheel and all on but im waiting for a dshaft and gearbox/cross members then it all goes in. but from looking at the looms on both motors were the clip in down by the battery one has 2 plugs the other has 3? so i would have to swap the auto motor loom onto the manual motor?
  9. yeah but my wagon is a turbo auto. but ive changed it to turbo manual. now i could loop the inhibitor switch but i have a manual ecu and engine loom that has been chipt by gizzmo so dont realy want the auto loom ecu when i have the tuned ecu for the engine im puting in... the ecu numbers are A11-000-R69 and B3 in orange. and the ecu in the wagon is a auto k9 a18 000 rn7 ecu. From search all ive found is that the b3 ecu is a gen 3 ecu? im hoping that if i put the front engine bay and and ecu harness in that it will mate to the body loom ok? and wondering if anyone else has done this
  10. hmm just pulled the manual ecu loom out its huge? goes from side to side of the engine bay and inside the car to were ecu is!
  11. i have converted my bf5 to manual and i have a chipt gizzmo ecu that come with the motor. can i just change the engine harness and get this to work or do i need to change the body loom to manual to?
  12. just jumped under looking for the sticker and is 4.44 and viscous lsd!. will be good not to have to replace diff!. geez subarus are just sooo much easyer than evo's
  13. I have a 93 bf5 legacy with a TZ1022B3AA auto box in it and want to convert to manual but unsure if rear diff will be correct ratio of a new manual box. I looked up in the gearbox chart but it hasnt got these boxes in it only TY****** boxes?
