I know of a guy down here in chch who supplies a lot of people but prob not much help if you\'re in Auckland. Could try contacting a local motorsport car club up there to see if they could point you in the right direction rather than asking around workshops?

Shipping\'s no problem. Im just after the tubes pre-bent and scolloped ready to weld in, then I will take care of the rest.

There not prepped to just weld in . That needs to be done when its being put it in the car .

well that\'s if its the same guy in chch i got mine off.

I don\'t think you can get ready to weld kits and if you could i wouldn\'t want one. There is to many variables to allow for.

Yeah at a guess you\'d have to get a big dollar kit from an overseas outfit like Sparco or maybe Prodrive? If you wanted a full on ready to weld in kit (even then I\'m not sure if they\'d be scalloped).

Yes there are kits that are weld in pre bent/pre scolloped, with base plates etc supplied. All to MSNZ specs. They are no different to a normal custom built cage, its just a cost and time effective way to build a cage if you have the fabrication skills to fit them.

I was referred to a group called Mc Carn or Mac Cairn motorsport or something along those lines in Christchurch that does these kits to MSNZ specs. I just cant seem to find them, probably as I cant spell the name. Does those names or similar ring any bell to anyone down there?

Completely stripped interior minus necessary parts. Removed AC. Now to get some pennies together for a roll cage!

    Have fun with that! ;)

My Psychic abilities see lot of back and forward in your future!

haha no way dude, i see more coming out. No dash just a few gauges and a motec digi display :)

So youre going for a Track race car not Rally?

Pretty much, i compete in anything I can really as long as it has corners

  4. Hey guys,

I recently installed a H/D puk clutch on my type R, it was a bad call. I was changing down to some lights and accidentally changed into to low a gear, a huge jolt went through the car when the clutch bit.

I was running with the controller to the rear and was able to baby it to where I could diagnose it more. Now it drives with the controller to the rear, but when its right up to full lock it spits the dummy and crunches about.

I have pulled the box apart and inspected the front part of the case and there doesn\'t seem to be any chips or obstructions, so does this sound like a buggered center diff?

    Any help is much appreciated

    Cheers :)

  5. Hey guys, Ive killed my clutch in my 98 STI Type R and need to get a new one.

I\'ve started competing in events, most recently the drift cross events run by 4&Rota, And im after a fairly priced sports orientated clutch.

I\'m ruining the factory engine of the Type R and DCCD box.

Any suggestions on a good clutch kit to buy would be greatly appreciated :)

    Cheers,

    Nic
