Just a quick message to say gday u fullaz! Good to see u guys still on here hammering away. Still driving my brumby happily also, though Im on the motorbike more than the ute! Classic car, modern bike...Buells are simply tops. Unless u want to thrash in the bush or at the beach...and then just go for the hack.

Anyhow, just saw a tear in my CV boot and there\'s a bit of vibration happening in the wheel. 60 bux apparently gets a new CV from Trademe, but thought I should check with you guys first...Let me know if you have any suggestions for getting the part etc?

In other news, just scored a dash cover, new, for 15bux...fits perfect. Shame that in the last 2yrs a couple splits have formed but now i just cover them up and walk away!!

Got pics of Dash cover? I need one to cover my Dash on my RX.

I go get new CV and CV boots s from CV Specialists in CHCH. They told me they supply Subaru NZ with the boots.

  2. I had talked to a guy that owned Possums old Rally RX.

They had the bhp up to 250+ BHP. And It was reliable too.

Rallyed it for many years with out any major problems.

ThatcCar still around but apparently was Re engined with a Legacy Turbo motor.

I\'ve seen some dodgy stuff, but never that dodgy. I\'m in no way adept with a welder, but I know I could do better patchwork than that! I\'m sorry to say your old brumby was sold to bogans!

Maybe they let an apperice attack it with a welder and grinding/cutting disk ?

I can weld way better than that too. only problem is I dont have a welder to use so can\'t blame the previous owner for that shoddy workman ship. It has a new motor in it too. They only brought the truck for the motor. One brumby they restored blew the motor up so they quickly brought my one as an replacement.

For those of your that are wondering - this car is configured in a way that I would feel 100% comfortable delivering to a customer. We all want this car to go fast, but what's most important is testing out this package in the way a customer would want it.

If you want the BRZ-400 package, and have e85 local - this is the way you could drive it every single day.

Regular Pumpgas won't be as impressive, but a simple meth injection kit can bring the performance very close to this e85 configuration.

Road course car need not to worry.

I've been testing a very similar setup and it's been taking very abusive 20-30 minute track sessions.

    Car details -

    440WHP 340WTQ - DynoJet 224

    STOCK LONGBLOCK.

    Accelerated Performance BRZ-400 Turbo Kit @ 20PSI

    AEM Tru Boost Controller

    Stock Header

Accelerated Performance catless turbo back exhaust

    OMNI 4 BAR Map Sensor

    DW65 Pump

    DW900 Injectors

    Exedy Clutch

Car was tuned using the factory computer using EcuTek RaceRom.

Bet you it will be like late legacy 6 speed and not super strong one.

    /quote]

what do you mean by this? I thought the leggy ones were the same as sti ones?

I remember some one on here saying...

The Legacy 6spd is pretty much the 5 speed box with a 6th added. Not bullet prooth like the 6spd for the STI.

6spd STI box is completely different to the 6spd Legacy

Hahahahh ok proves my thoughts , I am playing with the idea of doing exactly this to a brumby :) except maybe less super charger :)

I was originally going to fit the EG33 into my old Brumby. But would have kept it AWD and engine in front.

THE EG is still sitting around to be fitted into something.

I still got my Coupe that i may do it too.

Just need to get a place with a workshop I can work in.
