Where would I find said device,,?
-
hey guys.
i want to keep my McIntosh H/U because the sound is just that good but i want to be able to use my iphone
with it.
i have seen these anycar-link jobbies on TradeMe but dont know if anyone has actually used one.
So, has anyone used one?? if so, anyone used the bluetooth version?

cheers,
Dejhon

did any one end up getting this? if so did you by chance get the bluetooth version for $200?
-
do we know if it matters if the ECU goes on a manual or Tiptronic?
-
If you going to do that, why not try a rear 4 pot conversion?
If you going 2pot:
Only thing you need really is the Handbrake gear. If you keep to the 170mm hand brake, then just re-use that.
As you can see, you can get larger diameter rotors but with the 170mm dia drum, so this would be the easier thing.
If you using Brembos, then you need to have the brembo caliper mounting bolts and brake hoses that fit the brembo banjo fitting.
4pot conversion? the same as on the fronts?
I was planning on doing the subaru 2pot rear conversion, not the brembos cause they are too expensive! lol
all this talking has been good, cause ive learnt loads (i knew nothing about this before!)
but i think i need to meet up with some one who can show me the parts so i can visualize it.
any takers?

As said before, you cant change hubs over.
If you want the stock look, then you going to have to buy the S401 backing plates. ($$$$!!!)
Or modify your backing plates to adapt the 2pot mounting holes...
EDIT:
Part numbers for S401 backing plates:
RH 2670466000
LH 2670466010
You can only get these parts if you own a S401 or know the chassis code of one.
so what if i get some B4 backing plates CNC'd but with the mounting holes of an STI backing plate made into it? (aka cutting my backing plate mounts and putting on STI mounting holes - but made in 1 piece)
what would i need to do after this is done for the 2pots to work/fit? EBrake?
-
Is it possible to get those backing plates custom made by an engineering company?
-
i want to do the same thing on my B4 RSK what hubs could i put on so i dont need a cert? have tried to use search but cant find the answer!
i would prefer to change the hubs as i love the more stock look and idea! i have the 5, twin spoke rims so i believe they will clear the 2pots
cheers guys

do you have any pics of it on your gtb?

Is this thread about headlights or mirrors?
You can purchase factory mirror covers for the 3rd gen Legacy that have the built in indicator. It was a dealership option I believe. If you have access to yahoo auctions, you should be able to find them on there. Also if you have access to yahoo auctions, you can also source some Rev D headlights which are always selling at pretty reasonable prices.
thanks for the tip. i had a look before you said this but was searching for 'BE5' in the mirrors section - with no avail. so i tried 'BH5' and found a few in there. i hit up fortyone and will see what goes on there...
I will probably get my panel beater to mould them real nice so it doesnt look like they are a cover. i dont like what they look like from the drivers point of view

this is the item i'm talking about
so yeah, pretty self explanatory. would these fit onto my gen3 B4?
Eg. do the fittings match up and are the connections/plugs compatible?
the fitting seems pretty damn close to these that Omegah put on his B4
thanks in advance guys

They won't fit without some modification, plugs are also different.
Omegah has covers over the factory mirror rather than later model mirrors.
bugger. how much modification to we reckon id need to put in? not much or loads? im sure changing the plugs over wouldnt be a big deal..

i hardly think this thread is appropriate..
-
i didnt think these headlights are supposed to fit rev a- c's? whatd you do? lol
-
this is the kind of bumper i need/want for that look
anyone have one? lol
-
yeah for sure. i am having some mechanical / auto-electrical / i dont f****n know ??? issues so have to postpone 'unnecessary' bodywork till thats fixed
-
that bumper doesnt quite match up. have a look at the body lines on the outside of the fog lights. a little different. i think its from the newer b4's like '01 / '02 maybe?
-
well 41 said that it is not a complete kit, that zero/sports only do the bumper spoiler/lip which they can still get, which is good. but i cant find that bumper (it has been custom painted black and silver) any one have / knows where i could get that bumper (pay attention to the fact that next to the spots there is a line in the bodywork).
I was thinking to use the genuine blitzen bumper i have on, later a carbon bonnet with some carbon eyelids too.. any thoughts guys? i have this Lambo pic that i love (ive kinda been using that as style inspiration)
