$300 sounds about right,
my last take cost 200 for enough to spray a full car etc but that was a favour from a mate

mine had a leaking hose which led to pedal sticking to the floor etc, or your seals might be gone ? bleed it real good, i wasted a whole bottle until i learned how to bleed it properly :-[
mine was slipping anyway so gave me a reason to change it finally :

sanded and sprayed sideskirts and engine bits gloss black to clean it up abit
BC5
installed superlows in the front but didnt have enough time to finish the rears, sits nice and looow now
unfortunately wagon will be up for sale soon, will def be hard to see her go

Thats your problem dude....
Go to a clutch place and buy an alignment tool.. They are a cheap thing and it will save you a world of pain.
Or if you have an old gbox cut off the splined bit you need to align it, worked wonders and saved a trip to the store.
but left me with a boat anchor...
